I'm a large woman with an abdominal apron resulting from childbearing, weight gain and loss. That means an area under the overhang that gets damp and irritated. This ointment is a perfect preventative or treatment. (Discovered it years ago for kids' diaper rash but became a real believer when I burned my hand severely pulling a pan out of the oven. Slathered this on it, put on a white glove and no sign of the burn the next day.) It's magic and worth every penny. I always keep it in the supply closet.

I have been using this for 2 yrs now and desitin always always works when my son has a diaper rash. It only does not work when the rash is fungal in nature - but thats fine as Desitin is supposed to only work on bacterial rashes which are the most common.
