Great chuck!
This chuck exceeds all my expectation. It is massive and seems to grip the drill bits very well. It is also runs very true and probably meets their specification of 0.0005" TIR. I am very pleased!

Great replacement for Porter Cable 15 in drill press
Fits as good as the original

Easy to use. Keyless. Even centers well with 1/32" bits
Much easier to use than my keyed chuck. Even works well with extremely small bits. Product info says 1/32". I was able to use #60 (~1/64th) for drill ornaments. Centers well with no wobble.

My advice is, try it.
Not very expensive and works well. Holds a bit better, without slipping, than the conventional chuck it replaced. Smooth action, looks and feels well made. I have had it jam a couple of times, both with reduced-shank bits. Un-jammed with a spanner (which you should definitely have on hand) and a wrench on the drive pulley lock nut. Holes for a second spanner on the upper knurled ring would be an improvement.I didn't know keyless chucks existed (for drill presses) till I got fed up with the original chuck on my press and started looking to replace it. I am happy with how it turned out.

Don't waste your time or your money
I use the chuck on a wood lathe when I am drilling into wood with Forstener bits. This piece of junk jammed up tight as a drum after 30 minutes or so of work. Used pipe wrench and vise trying to unjam this thing and no joy at all. It also did not fit tight on my MT2 tailstock and that allowed the chuck to spin. It is now at the bottom of my trash can. An absolute waste of money. Terrible product.

Why did I put up with my old chuck for so long
I have a 1985 harbor freight drill press that had a chuck with about .018" of runout. I hardly ever used the drill press so pretty much put up with it. Had a project were that just wouldn't work so bought this one. Only .002" of runout now at the end of a 2" steel dowel. I am a bit concerned that I may have a hard time getting a bit tight when drilling steel, but I'll deal with that when I cross that bridge. Would buy again for the price, great chuck!!

Be prepaired- tooling will slip in this chuck when only hand tightened.
Good for the price but not a high quality when it comes to really tightening up on a drill or accessory by hand. Takes a lot more twisting pressure to hold drill from spinning almost to the point I may want to put another hole in it so I can put 2 spanners on it to tighten. Kinda defeats the purpose of a keyless chuck. If you are a serious machinist you may want to consider a quality brand keyless chuck whether new or a nice used one. I am keeping this one to keep on my run of the mill craftsman drill press but will not use it in my lathe tail stock. Thanks for reading my review.

So much easier and faster
So far it has held drill bits very securely. For years I'd been dealing with having to exchange geared chucks depending on the drill size (a real pain). A single chuck and no need for a chuck key is much more convenient. I do however find it a bit tricky in chucking up small bits.
