The mouse pad itself is very good in quality. One side is a matt black metal finish, the other side is black leather. Bothe are very comfortable. It is aluminium so be careful not to bend or dent it.In the package there are also 8 friction pads for the mouse pad and some gliding pads for the mouse in case you find it making scratching noise. I tried them, they didn't help much....Speaking of the scratching noise, I've seen a lot of reviews saying their mouse would make a horrible scratching noise when using the metal side of the mouse pad. So I tried with 5 different mice fully expecting the same result. HOWEVER, only the Logitech MX Anywhere 3 and M185 made the noise. Both of my Razor Basilisk V3 and Viper Ultimate as well as my 3DCADmouse pro were super quiet and smooth. After some close inspection, I think I found the reason. Both the Logitech mice are either quite old or the PTFE feet are badly scratched, whereas the other 3 mice are relatively new and the PTFE feet are not yet worn/scratched. On the M185, two of the PTFE pads are very badly worn to the point that it's sub-flush to the plastic rim around them. So it's actually the plastic rim that's scratching the metal mouse pad making the noise.

Had this mouse mat for some time now and its is robust and looks great. The rubber bits that stick on the bottom came off after a while and i contacted the supplier to ask if I could get some more and without hesitation sent through a new mat including the rubber bits. Great customer service all round.

This is definitely a beautiful and well-made quality product! It's very thin but there is absolutely no flex.There is only one irritation - moving the mouse across the metal surface is noisy. The seller mentions this in the product documentation and include adhesive glides to fix to the mouse.My solution is simply to flip the board and use the underside instead - problem solved.So, it's close to but not quite perfect. I wanted a mouse board I could rest on my knee while travelling and this item is perfect.Thoroughly recommended but be aware of the noise.

I had an area where i was using my mouse but it just wasn't quite big enough for the movement, it couldn't be something that would be permanently in that place, just something I could put there easily when in use.I started looking for clip on mouse mats but nothing was suitable they were mainly arm rests rather than mats. I couldn't use a normal sized mouse mat, it wouldnt be big enough because it would need to be lodged under my ddj on one side and speaker on the other to keep it stable and I also needed it to be a solid mat because part of it wouldn't have any surface below it.I wondered if I could find a large solid mouse mat which I did but they were £30 & up in price which I didn't want to pay, until I found this one, so straight away price range for this kind of item is the lowest out there.It's sold as a double sided mat, I will mirror what others have said and the metallic side is scratchy to use just not a pleasant sound or feeling for me, but others it might not bother them. I didn't want to put the pads on my mouse so I can't comment on how well these would work.The leather side is a smoother movement for the mouse, for my needs it's quick enough & accurate in its movement, I haven't noticed any lag.The metallic side down hasn't marked my pine top, and when looking at the metal side initially it looks scratched from being moved about or against my rustic pine surface, but it isnt I just give it a wipe over and it's like new again, but if it scratches over time this won't bother me as its not a side I will use or have on show.It's a nice looking mat, lovely bevelled silver edge.I was initially going to give 4 stars because of the metallic side, but then thought, I only bought it for the leather side, I just tried the silver side out of curiosity after reading reviews. I also thought that really at this price when looking at the prices of others it could be sold as a single sided leather mouse mat, and lastly any metallic mouse mat is going to have the same issues, mouse dependant too, so I decided 5 starsI'm very happy with this purchase, and I expect it is going to last a good few years its really well made and very sturdy.

Great mat to use while on a soft surface (my bed). Mouse works as it should, noise in my opinion is minimal. I tried the noise dampening pads for less than a day as they irritated ne more than the sound.

Positives: the 'leather' side woks as a very good mouse mat, the best I've had. The mouse moves well on it and it is larger than usual mats. The aluminium base makes it very flat and shows as a narrow rim around the 'leather' which makes it attractive. It sits firmly on my vanished wooden desk. It looks good with my Apple set up, see photo.I do not like the aluminium side. The mouse makes a quiet but intrusive rasping noise on it - as you would expect really - and I do not wish to stick the pads supplied onto my Magic Mouse 2. The aluminium is a very different shade for my I Mac and keyboard so it looks odd. Hence 3*s.

Excellent mouse mat. Perfectly smooth, fast surface with nicely bevelled edges and silver edging so it looks elegant too. The leather effect finish on the reverse keeps it fixed to the desk top without needing sticky feet. Comes with some well thought out sticker pads for both mouse and mat though I haven't needed them. Nice small size which is exactly what I was looking for. Very happy!
