Algoma 6250 Two Point Individual Rope Hammock and Stand Combo,Off-white

I typically do not give 5 star reviews, how can something be "perfect" right? This hammock however, is perfect. The cotton rope's natural fibers are breathable and comfortable, and only get more so with use. The ends of the rope are wax dipped to delay the natural fraying of the ends that will occur over time. The hardwood spreader bars are light but strong. The weather plated ring, and chain will last in the elements as other reviewers have stated. The pieces have weight to them, as they are very strong, and while the painted coating on them scratches slightly when putting the pieces together, this is to be expected and does not affect the overall aesthetics of the item at all. I live in a 1200 sq ft town home, and the small storage footprint of this hammock allows me to easily store it in a 6x4x2 storage shed out back, and with the literal 30 second construction/deconstruction of this hammock, storing it between uses is almost not worth mentioning. I have been searching for that "Holy Grail" of hammocks for some time now, and not only was this one an amazing price, it was everything I could have hoped for. If you are even slightly considering purchasing a hammock, I would urge you to buy this immediately, without delay. You will never be happier with a hammock than you will be with this one.

Item appears to be well built, is solid and comfortably holds two without overloading. Really comfy, with the padded cover. Assembly took about 5 minutes. We had one minor issue with the wood frame being damaged in shipping, but it it is merely cosmetic and really doesn't concern me enough to deal with a return. Happy with this purchase.

I ordered this hammock as a birthday gift for my husband. I live in a large apartment complex and had some problems with getting the delivery accepted by our concierge in my absence, which resulted in the box being sent back to the manufacturer. I contacted the seller and they were incredibly helpful - they arranged redelivery with the manufacturer, sent me the new tracking number, and I still received the hammock in time for hubby's birthday! He was ecstatic - It's a beautiful product; the stand is really sturdy and seems good quality, yet is easy to set up within minutes. The hammock itself is very comfortable and also seems to be of great quality. Love the wooden spreaders. A great product at a great price!

The quality of this product seemed exceptional when we first purchased it, but shortly after having it for a few months, the hammock became frayed and eventually snapped in two places. These hammocks have weight limits to them, but I am 185 lbs, so I don't think we exceeded any thresholds. While it was still functional, the damage left the hammock unstable when you climb into it. I contacted the seller of this hammock and he deflected me to a manufacturer. The manufacturer sent an initial email and then refused to follow up to resolve. Here we are, two months later, and still have not received a response back other than ignoring our calls and email inquiries. While a defective product can occasionally occur with any item you purchase, most customers should expect quality customer service and unfortunately this company simply does not deliver. After reading these earlier reviews, I was hoping for the experience of the rest of the submitters, but unfortunately that did not occur. Knowing that there is a chance you could get left without recourse should this hammock be faulty, my recommendation is that you go in a different direction and pay a few extra bucks for the upgraded hammock.

I purchased this hammock for my husband (who works long hours, to help him relax after work and on the weekends) and unboxed it yesterday morning. The stand was incredibly simple to assemble, even without instructions. The price was also very attractive, as many hammock/stand combos are quite expensive, and I needed something to fit our budget.The frame works well and is sturdy. However, the hammock itself is incredibly poor quality. I took several photos within a few hours of unboxing the unit, and I will be posting them under the "customer images" for this product.The first thing we noticed was that both chains on either end of the hammock were covered in rust. The way the hammock was stored led to several swatches of the cotton rope also being subject to rust. In addition, each hole on the wooden spreader bar is jagged and rough, not sanded and smooth like the rest of the bar. This has caused some minor fraying (and will eventually cause major fraying that will destroy the hammock after several months of use) on the smooth cotton rope. We figure we will wear the hammock out and replace it once it breaks (which it inevitably will, given the chaffing of the spreader bars and the rust combined) and we will end up replacing it, as the frame seems fine.My husband and I are disappointed, but the last thing I want to deal with is repackaging this monster and lugging it back to the post office to return. If you're looking for something temporary and inexpensive, then this product might serve you adequately. However, I simply can't recommend it.

Not as nice as the one in the picture, the box was open when it was delivered and one of the plastic covers for the legs was broken. Not worth the money since I was expecting something more sturdy and better quality.
