Great motherboard for TrueNAS
This is a perfect motherboard for TrueNAS. I use mine as a Plex media server, have an Ubuntu VM as well as a couple other plug-ins. It's not really powerful enough for enterprise level use but should be powerful enough for small business use.

You cannot use all SATA ports at once!
TL;DR version: you can only run a maximum of 9 SATA devices on this board at once, and you have to give up the PCIe slot to do it. Performance wise, this board is what I expected. What isn't clear from the description or documentation is that due to limitations of the single-die Atom SoC (4 core) there isn't enough available bandwidth to feed the PCIe slot, SAS connectors and the 5 standalone SATA ports at once. You have to choose a "mode" for the board, which selectively disables some I/O in favor of others.

Good with caveats
This is a great option for a NAS server. However, be aware that "13 sata ports" is misleading. In the BIOS, you have the choice of using the PCIe card at 8x, 4x, and various combinations of SATA / SAS ports. Essentially you can pick 8x PCIe and 1 SATA port, 4x PCIe and 5 SATA ports, or PCIe slot disabled and 9 ports. If you were planning on hooking up 13 drives and throwing in another SAS controller besides, or even running an 8-drive data array plus a RAID1 system drive array, it's not going to work.

Non retail packaging, with no manual or cables
The board arrived in non-retail packaging with only an I/O shield; no manual (not important) and no cables (important) were included. According to the AsRock Rack website, the package should contain the motherboard, support CD, IO shield, 2x mini SAS HD connectors, 2 x SATA3 cables, and 1 x SATA power cable. The Amazon description does not identify this as a non-retail product. The board appears to be original and new. Therefore the consequence is only that I needed to purchase $50 worth of cables which I expected to be included. This motherboard was sold by a third party, not Amazon though it should have been described correctly, and future purchasers should determine which version they are getting before deciding to buy. As others have noted, the description of "up to 13 SATA ports for storage devices" is misleading as no more than 9 can be used at one time, though I was aware of this before purchasing.
