Nice product
This is a paste not a cream, you only need a very small amount for it to work. You do have to rub in your hands to have it disappear but once that happens it’s very easy to work with in your hair and has a nice fragrance.

I saw this in my friends bathroom, tried it, and loved it. It was drier and less greasy than other brands. When I ordered though I wasn't as impressed. I'll stick with it but I suspect either my first impression was excessive or it's been re-formulated?

The ingredients were different. It's much softer and doesn't hold as much. It's not even matte.

A little hard to work in, OK scent, very decent hold
I was intrigued by the description of this product, which doesn't claim to be anything type of styling product in particular. I can definitely vouch for that. The consistency of this product is not pomade, paste, wax, gel, or creme. It's most definitely its own "stuff".This is thick, not very easily pliable, hard to get going in your hands, and somewhat difficult to apply. It seems more wax-like, but a bit like a cross between a wax and a paste. Not easy to get out of the container, like a wax. It's hard to transfer from hands to hair, and requires a lot of work. I usually apply it to damp hair, and I've even taken to adding a bit more water to my hair and hands before trying to work this in, which helps.Once you work it in, though, it's actually really decent. It seems to add volume and lift, much like a wax can, but it results in hair that is much more pliable, and never gets difficult to re-style like most waxes. Waxes have a tendency to create a "nest" out of your hair, which this definitely does not. It's actually easy to restyle, and taking a comb or brush to it by mid-day allows you to reshape and restyle with ease. In that way, I almost liken it to a paste or pomade combination. It definitely has the power of many products. For reference, I have a high-cut undercut (my daughter calls it a "Viking" hairstyle), where the top falls just below my chin in length, but I generally take my length on the top, and style it all to my right back side, so it meets at a point on the back right side of my head. It takes a good product to hold that style most of the day, and this definitely does the job. I don't need to use more than two finger-tip-sized amounts to get the right amount of styling and holding power, even when you consider the somewhat excessive hair length I'm dealing with.I don't wash my hair every day, but it's important to me that a product rinses somewhat in the shower, to avoid excess build-up. This does rinse fairly well, with some residue. That is good for me, though, because it provides even better control if I use this product for a second day, or end up using something else. This product seems to combine well with prior product residue.I like the scent, it is mild, and it doesn't linger much after putting it on. I would say it seems a bit minty or menthol, mostly. My cat really likes it.Overall I'm pleased, but it's not my favorite because of how hard it is to work in. The small container should last quite some time. I could definitely see myself picking this up again, and I'm definitely interested in the rest of the product line.

Fantastic scent and good hold...but sticky and not a true matte finish
I have been using American Crew Fiber for decades and for this review it will be used as a sole comparator to the Grooming Lounge product. The scent of "Some Hair Stuff" is fantastic...one of the best smelling men's grooming products that I have ever used. Great balance of 'clean' and 'masculine'.Compared to American Crew Fiber, however, the texture of Some Hair Stuff is not as pleasant. The plasticizers and other ingredients used in this product result in a material that is sticky and not very pliable. It is workable but requires frequent hand rubbing to generate friction/heat in order to soften the product. That being said, Some Hair Stuff does add body and structure to thin hair without weighing it down. The only other negative is that Some Hair Stuff is not what I consider a matte finish -- it definitely has a shine after hair application (especially when compared to American Crew Fiber). While not greasy in appearance like most pomades and petroleum-based products, Some Hair Stuff is not as 'matte' as I would prefer.Overall, the Grooming Lounge has developed a quality men's hair product. I intend to continue using Some Hair Stuff and will rotate it occasionally into my daily grooming routine.

Awesome stuff
I've tried a few products and this is the best. I have pretty short hair and it holds my hair in place all day and it washes out really easy.
