Great Idea. But...
I wish I had better results for this product, I really do.I tried it on carrots: fail. What I had were 1 inch long carrot shreds. I tried it on sweet potatoes. fail. what I had were 2 inch sweet potato shreds with a hard core of sweet potato left in middle of plastic device, surrounded by very sharp blades, one on each side. I did not want to see if it works on fingers because I kind of think it might, so I pushed the sweet potato plug out with a blunt object I had in my junk drawer.I read the reviews of how people are now looking for counter space because these are so awesome, so I press on, determined.eggplant. mush.cucumber. juicy mush. So, in spite of the discount I received for trying out the product for review purposes I do need to keep my reviews honest. It did not work for me.OH, I gave it 3 stars for the reason that it is well constructed and very sharp and of the same quality as the twice the price model my friend got for her birthday. And, I think if I find the right produce it should work. and, I really want to have the zen experience other reviewers found.I will update you if I find the elusive vegetable that it works on.

~~ If you've got thin veggies this will NOT work! ~~
This is a neat idea but in practice does not work as well as one would imagine. Our carrots are thin at the moment so when trying to julienne them using this tool the carrot just kept poking through the hole and breaking off! Tried some broccoli stalks - too flexible for this tool. SO then I called for the "master chef" i.e. Richard, to see if he could make this tool work. We found a thicker carrot and he did have some success but once again, when the end of the carrot gets small which it does as you are spiraling around, the end falls through. He then tried using the top piece that is supposed to help you turn the vegetable around. You spike the said vegetable and it is supposed to help you create the juliennes. It didn't! In fact he took it off and his finger slipped so he ended up with a band-aid on! Ouch! Yes the blades are sharp!Easy to clean? No! The bristles on the brush that comes with this slicer get stuck in this when you are trying to clean it. We normally donate many of the items that we receive for review and VERY rarely throw one away. Sad to say, this tool went in the trash.Would we recommend this to anyone? No! Waste of money and time. Product provided in exchange for an honest review. Thanks, Liz

It's very easy to clean
First let me start by saying this product was everything I expected it to be. The videos I've watched on YouTube are spot on. It's ease of use will allow me to incorporate a recipe using this product at the drop of a dime. It's very easy to clean, compact and easy to store. The product comes assembled and with a cleaning brush, which without you may nerve get the tiny holes cleaned. Good thinking on the suppliers end. I appreciate the fact that there are two sizes to choose from, that gives you a chance to vary the texture. I received this item at a discount in exchange for an honest and unbiased review.
