Casa Truffle, Truffle Salt 3,52 Oz 100gr

This smells amazing, and obviously tastes amazing as well. I am blown away by the aroma of Alba, Italian white truffles every time I crack open this tiny jar of salt. I caramelized my onions with this salt & a little olive oil to start my usual mushroom/parm risotto recipe the last time that I made it for the family & it was a wonderful addition to my normal recipe & a HUGE hit with the family over the holidays. The leftovers from our meal were plentiful, but that risotto dish was the first one to get attacked the next day when we all were hungry again. I have used this on beef tenderloin both as a pre-seasoning rub & as a finishing salt with much success. A must-have for the "Foodie" arsenal. Good stuff.

I guess the salt is as it should be but I am still on the fence about truffle salt in general. This product states has aroma added to it. I found out most have aroma added even if it is not mentioned. The aroma is some big long chemical name. When I put it in my cabinet, I opened my cabinet and it smelled like something was dead inside. It was too strong to leave out on my kitchen table. I will use it up slowly but I am very much on the fence as to whether I will ever buy any brand of truffle salt again. I guess if you want truffle salt, then go ahead and buy this brand. Personally, I don't feel truffle salt or truffle oil it lives up to the hype.

I just received this salt and other reviewers are correct. You can smell the truffle through the packaged box. But that is it. When you open the bottle and then try a taste with your finger, all you taste is salt. There are a few brown flakes of something in the salt so I pulled it out to see if that was the truffle. It wasn't. It was absolutely tasteless. Then I read the bottle and it says that it has the "aroma" of truffles in it. Well, it does...just the aroma, not the taste. It is like the candles that smell great when you sample them in the store but have no fragrance after you light them. Last year I had been given a gift of Truffle salt from a Seattle company and it was amazing, with 10% of truffle in it. You could feel the warmth of the truffle on your tongue. This year I bought Casa Truffle salt because I had been given an Amazon gift certificate. I won't be buying it again from this seller. I am so sad because I had waited 10 days for it to be delivered. I've been using black truffle salt for years and love it so I was curious to see what would be different between the two. They are significantly different. The black has a warmer, rounder flavor & aroma. This white truffle salt is even more aromatic. The taste & smell are brighter, sharper, & more pungent than the black. (If you want to try something really beautiful, season a nice piece of fish with white truffle salt and fennel pollen!)This now has a permanent place in my pantry!

Also a gift to my daughter so this review is the fact that all items came on time and in June I was declared the best Mom. She love to cook and seasoning she did not have. Oh, yes all good Mother's raise your hand .

Bought this for us and ended up buying it as a gift for my in-laws recently. Great packaging and information. Tastes delicious! Brings me back to Italy.

Combine this with truffle oil on fries....bake till crispy....top with shredded Parmesan off the block and that is pure HEAVEN.

My wife ordered this Truffle Salt from Amazon as a surprise for birthday, but it was reveal by the moment I opened my mail box, just like the fresh white truffles this bouquet is impossible to hide, and believe me it was perfectly seal. I am a truffles lover but this is by far the best truffle salt I have tried. The bouquet is well balance between earthy, white truffles and fresh sea salt and the taste is  just amazing. I can see why this seller describe it as an artisan product. Packaging was beautiful and clean.
