This was 2500.00 with tax, and it doesn't work ... I'll never buy Hamilton Beach again
The media could not be loaded. First off, do not buy from KATOM restaurant supply, their customer support is crap. Told them this product is defective and their response was basically, "not our problem, call the manufacturer, good luck." See for yourself. I should have asked where this was manufactured BEFORE I bought it, come to find out it was made in CHINA... and I regret buying this now.

A beast; my favorite kitchen toy
This vacuum sealer is a serious tool. I give it 5 stars because it does exactly what it’s designed to do, and it does it well. It is a commercial kitchen appliance and if you can justify having one it is worth every penny. That said, if you’re looking to upgrade from a regular home vacuum sealer there are a few things to note, why this sealer might not be a total replacement:1. This thing takes up some serious counter space and headroom, and it’s oppressively heavy to be moving around. Some might even argue that it’s an eyesore sitting on a kitchen counter. You might need to build a separate room to use it in so you don’t have to look at it unless you’re using it.2. Warming up the machine after inactivity requires a 15 minute cycle so it’s best used when you have many bags to seal, not just one block of cheese.3. The programming settings aren’t totally intuitive to use and not much advice is given as to how long the pump should run (0-60 seconds) before sealing. It’s not as touch-and go as a regular home sealer.4. While it *can* seal liquids, this process is not entirely without messiness. And is not just as simple as pressing a button and walking away.5. Bag size and volume is limited by the size of the chamber so sealing an entire tenderloin or rack of ribs might not be possible.
