Almay Clear Gel Deodorant and Antiperspirant, Fragrance Free, 2.25 oz

Best deodorant for people who sweat a lot and have highly-sensitive skin!! I can’t seem to tolerate any fragrance in deodorant between my Mast Cell Activation Syndrome issues, my chronic migraines, and my acne, but this deodorant doesn’t smell, doesn’t give me giant, painful acne cysts under my arms (the other kinds did!), AND amazingly blocks my sweat better than the others (and I sweat a LOT- my body has a hard time regulating its temperature). I have been using this for years and will never stop! Please don’t stop making it!

It is 100% fragrance-free—meaning no masking perfumes or lingering chemical scents that clash with other products or trigger sensitivity. The clear gel glides on smoothly, absorbs quickly without feeling sticky, and leaves zero white chalky residue or yellow stains on clothing, making it safe for both dark and delicate tops.

Please never stop making/selling this stuff. It's the only deodorant/antiperspirant I can use as someone who is allergic to fragrance and sweats way too much. It's the best antiperspirant I've ever used and never causes me any skin irritation. It lasts a long time and is effective as a deodorant. I am quite sweaty, so I still sweat a bit even with this, but this is the only thing that even remotely meets the mark in terms of sweat control. I will continue to buy this as long as they make it!

My entire life I was using a deodorant/antiperspirant that worked for me and if I tried anything else I would immediately get a reaction. I was using it for 12 years at least and suddenly started getting a reaction. I don't know if the formula changed or if my skin can't tolerate it anymore... So yes, I began a search for a new deodorant/antiperspirant. Not fun or an easy task for anyone with sensitive skin. I tried many labeled and touted for "sensitive skin" but unfortunately each failed for my sensitive skin. This item contains Aluminum Sesquichlorohydrate, which is the type of aluminum product best used for sensitive skin. An ingredient used primarily for antiperspirant purposes. It doesn't contain any fragrance, which is a plus. I didn't see any parabens to my knowledge listed in the ingredients list but does not say paraben free anywhere. It contains dimethicone and glycerin, which are great for sensitive skin. 1-Is this product great for sensitive skin? 5/5 This product is the only one I've found labeled for sensitive skin that does not cause me to have a reaction. It's a lifesaver for someone like me who wants an antiperspirant and a deodorant. I can't live without this product and I hope it continues to be manufactured. Almay, you have a lifelong customer for this product! 2-Is this product effective as an antiperspirant and deodorant? 5/5 3-Fragrance free? 5/5 4-Quick Drying? 0/5 I love this product but seriously it takes FOREVER to dry. But, it's still worth it for me so I continue to use it. I literally cannot use anything else and if I could change anything it would be that it dries quicker. I usually let it air dry for two-three minutes while brushing my teeth. 5-Clear? 5/5 6-Leaving White Residue? No. 5/5 7-Stain free? 2.5/5 It is CLEAR and USUALLY doesn't stain my clothes but once it made a t-shirt have a weird bleaching effect? Not sure what happened there. Only happened once even though it has touched other items of clothing. If the clothing item is light colored it can leave a stain, which makes it look darker... and can be washed out... This can be avoided if you let it dry first before putting on clothes. The main reason this occurs is because it's not dry yet. If what you are wearing is dark colored you won't notice any stain. I would recommend this to anyone with sensitive skin to give it try and test it on his or her skin first. When I finally reached this item I thought I'd never find an antiperspirant for my skin and I am so very glad that I tried this product. Each individual's skin is different and you won't know until you try it if it's right for you. The biggest flaw is how long it takes to dry. Otherwise, it's a GREAT product. I will continue to use unless it's discontinued and I HOPE THAT NEVER HAPPENS!! It's been a LIFESAVER for me!

At 30 years old, I hadn't found a deodorant that worked for me since my teenage years. I used to feel so self-conscious around people; even though I washed my underarms thoroughly, I always had that bad onion-like odor. I asked ChatGPT for a chemical-free deodorant to help with underarm odor, and it recommended *this* one. ChatGPT told me to wash my underarms really well with antibacterial soap, dry them completely, and then apply a very, very small amount of this deodorant, spreading it all over the area. It said to give it at least five days to start seeing results. Sure enough I don't know how I didn't find this sooner goodbye, onion smell! I’m someone who sweats a lot from my underarms; honestly, this doesn't stop the sweating, but it *does* get rid of that bad odor. It’s 100% effective for the hot summers in NY and the DR.

For some unknown reason (I'm going to blame perimenopause/hormones, that seems to be the culprit behind every other weird thing I'm dealing with at the moment), I recently developed a reaction to every deodorant I've tried, including ones I'd used for years with no issue. All of a sudden, they all caused an itchy, red rash under my arms. I was researching what would be least likely to cause a reaction and this kept coming up. So far so good! It's effective and hasn't caused any issues, so I'm crossing my fingers that continues to be the case. The clear gel formula is not my preferred form, but it's the only way this one comes, so I'm getting used to it. I apply it several minutes before I'm going to get dressed, just before I blow dry my hair. It gives it time to dry and if it's still a little tacky when I finish drying my hair, I'll just use the blowdryer and give my underarms a little blast with the cool air setting and it dries it in no time.

Genuinely the best antiperspirant/deodorant out there for sensitive skin. I used to get itchy and red armpits but with this not anymore. I’d say the only small issue is that it’s gel and takes a bit to dry but it’s worth it.

The only reason I put 4 stars is it was open in the bag and half was gone. I understand this happened in shipping but I subscribed to this because it’s the only deodorant that does not make me itch. It is a great product.
