JOYSTAR Kids Bike for Ages 2-12 Years Boys Girls BMX Style Bicycle

Awesome bike. It was easy to assemble, organized packaging. Clear instructions. The bike itself is well designed, super cute, and rides very well. Our son loves it. It’s a great size bike for a tall 3 year old - shorter 5 year old.

Happy with this bike. We wanted an 18” which is harder to find and this is a great bike. Assembly was pretty easy and there’s videos too if needed. Seems to be of good quality and my son loves it.

Bought 11 months ago and still holding up and going strong! We bought for our daughters 5th birthday last year, she rode with training wheels for a few weeks and then learned how to ride without them on this same bike, so it’s seen it’s fair share of falls & crashes. Very impressed with how well it’s held up, not to mention how cute it it! Size was perfect, & it was easily put together!

Follow up Review: We are very happy with this bike and my son is now out of there training wheels n riding it happily on two. Such a sturdy bike. Tires are still doing what they should after many miles of use. Would highly recommend if the issues with assembly from my initial review aren’t a big deal to you. Well worth it several years later👍🏾 Original Review: The package arrived in decent shape but I quickly encountered my first issue. The handle bar was upside down🤦🏾‍♀️ Removing the screws that secured the handle bar was a challenge because the key provided wouldn’t catch in the screws. It took about 10 minutes just to do that and turn the handles in the right position. Then the next challenge was getting the stem attached to the frame. The directions that came with the product as many reviewers stated are generic and not helpful for this bike assembly. The picture on amazons page for the bike was more helpful but still didn’t give clear instructions on how to secure the stem of the handle bars to the frame of the bike. After about 20 minutes of trying to figure this out I finally got the piece secured. Finally our last disappointment was the bell that is supposed to come with the bike was not included in our package. Amazon can’t request that piece be sent as it comes from a third party and so that really stinks. Hoping I can find info for the ToyStar company so I can try and get this piece my son was excited about. Over all now that it’s all assembled it’s a nice looking bike and sturdy looking too. The tires aren’t flimsy at all. We will be taking the bike out tomorrow for a test run and I will revise my review to include how it goes as that is the most important part after all. Also there is a little scratch on the frame but not a big deal for me.

Exceptional customer service - this is our second purchase of JOYSTAR BIKE. And my kids loved it

This bike was a terrible purchase. That’s what you get for being cheap. We opted for this as a first lea er bike following a strider. Hoping it would grow a bit with our toddler and didn’t want to spend too much since we expected, as he learns, the bike would incur a bit of a beating. But this bike just falls apart. It’s cheaply made, none of the bolts stay tight no matter how many times you tighten them. The ones which hold the wheels on, just wiggle their way right off. The seat swivels side to side unable to tighten securely in place. And the tires and tubes are absolutely garbage. Ours arrived out of box with a busted tube. Additionally the tube doesn’t really fit the tire or the rim. Have tried to replace the tub with two different sizes and it’s the same issues. Something about the way it’s designed constantly causes a tire to pop. Even had a proper bike shop pro look at it. New tube in, lasted a few hours. Total disaster. Have spent two weeks since its arrival trying to problem solve so our kid can actually ride his bike at school with his friends and there’s always an issue making it unrideable. Have tried to contact the companies customer service several times and been rerouted to a foreign country with zero help to offer. Don’t waste your money.

When the bicycle came the first thing I noticed was that the box was heavy. Not to worry, all it meant was that this thing was sturdy. I was impressed with the way the parts were packaged. You can very quickly determine if anything is missing. This bicycle was complete. The bike comes with a spanner, and Allen wrench, The spanner is chrome plated (nice touch). The bike is mostly put together and anyone who is used to doing minor maintenance on their bicycles can easily manage the assembly. I maybe took a quick glance at the instruction once or twice, but was able to put it together pretty much without them. Also included was a sheet of decals with letters of the alphabet with the vendor's invitation to "Name your bicycle". The decals can be placed on the tubing of the bike frame. (Nice little touch.) I was very impressed with the construction, packaging, accessories, sturdiness, ease of assembly, quality of parts and appearance of the bike. Oh yah, and by the way, it has a "quick release" seat. As the Child grows you can raise the seat without using tools. There are plastic covers for the bolts as well. The bicycle cost more than some of the others I was looking at, but I think it was worth it. I give it a very positive review. Good job Joystar! I like doing reviews and appreciate it when someone puts an effort into giving a good assessment to help me with my shopping; therefore, I usually go back and adjust my review over time if I find a problem. After my grandson has used it for a few months, if I find a problem, I will adjust this review to make it known. If any of you have spotted my past reviews you'll see that I call vendors out when they deserve it, but right now this one looks like a winner!

My 6-year-old loves it! The only downside is that the seat seems to scratch pretty easily.

Received the bike without the ringing bell. The bell is missing in the package. Dangerous to cycle without a ringing bell.

Only the largest one can barely be used, and the brake part cannot be used at all

So far so good and we're happy that we went with this model. Read through all of the good and bad reviews before purchasing and decided to give the 14 inch model a try. Came with all of the parts and necessary tools for assembly, except you'll need a Phillips screwdriver to put on the reflectors and little bike bell, and the parts came with one extra axel. Nothing seemed bent out of shape other than a ever so slight bend in one of the front forks but nothing of major concern, no scratches etc., and the assembly was very straightforward to put together that took about 10 minutes. Both tires needed some air and that was to be expected. It has no weird or unexpected noises and looks like a smooth ride when in use. The only caveat I can think of is depending on the child's height, the seat's lowest setting on this 14 inch model does not have enough distance between the pedals highest point and where the child's knees would come to a full bend which makes it hard to get going from that position (I think another reviewer mentioned the same thing), so you may need to adjust the seat a few inches higher even if they may need to get on their tippy toes to get on the bike. Other than that, I believe it's a well made, sturdy, and good quality kid's bike that is worth the sale price tag. I do not get the sense of any cheaply made parts or frame other than the plastic chain guard, but that is fairly typical to see on kids bikes. All of the other kids bikes we looked at between Amazon and in-person stores like CT and WM didn't seem to compare, looked cheaply made and had constant poor reviews - glad we went with this model! The first beige bike we ordered from the same seller and 14 inch model was expected to be a 2-day delivery, but we ended up cancelling and changing to the blue color instead midway through, and that new one took over a week to deliver. I'll update my review in a month to see if we still feel the same.
