Disappointing quality for a Tifal
They are very sticky, its so hard to fry an egg without having to scrubb it off the pan, despite using lots of oil, and trying different temprature, it just stick alot.

A quality, compact set
One immediately obvious observation on unboxing these - they're all rather small. If you're doing big family fry-ups or anything requiring large saucepans then this likely won't be the set for you. But if your cooking is on a smaller scale, and particularly if you're short on kitchen storage space, then the compact dimensions might be just what you're looking for.In terms of build quality and materials these pans are excellent, very sturdy but also light and comfortable to hold. In use they're excellent, with evenly distributed burning on the frying pans and they're a doddle to wash.Overall I'm very happy with these pans, and after daily use for over three weeks now they've been faultless. My existing pans prior to receiving these are also Tefal, and are getting on to being a decade old - besides some minor scorch marks on the bottom they're as good as new, and they weren't as premium as this set. As such, I expect these pans to last just as well if not better over time.Footnote: I noticed these are at the higher-end when it comes to price, but as with most things it pays to buy quality, which is what these pans are. You'll be getting a performance from day one and they'll last far longer than cheaper, poor performing pans that will need replacing sooner.

Good quality but on the small side.
The first thing I noticed about these pans was how strong and comfy the handles felt, they have a good grip and don't wobble around at all and I certainly don't feel in danger of dropping them or being left with just the handle in my hand. They are, however, quite small; I would like the largest one to have been the middle sized one and to have the biggest one a lot bigger. I can't fit my potatoes in the largest one so still have to use my old one. The smallest one is a nice size for doing a boiled egg or three but it doesn't come with a lid so I have had to use the lid off my old set; it doesn't have a pouring lip so it's not as if it is purely supposed to be a milk pan! I do like that the knobs on the lids are more of a hook than a knob so you can put your fingers through when you lift the lid, if that makes sense. They are easy to clean and look lovely, I like the glass lids which have a handy hole in them to let the steam out. The frying pans are good quality but again are on the small side, good for just doing a fry up for one person but I couldn't do a full English for all 3 of us all at once. This set is not every pan you will ever need, if there's more than one of you, you will need a bigger one too.

Practical starter pan set
This is a decent budget-mid range set of pans. The kind of thing that would be a good present for a single person or couple moving in to their first home – but perhaps not overly practical for a family as the pans tend to be on the smaller side. The pans are designed to work with induction hobs. The pans are all nicely made and good looking. They have reasonably thick bases to help ensure even heating and cooking. Since the pans all have Bakelite handles, they are only suitable for use in cooler temperature ovens, if moved from the hob top into the cooker. 175 degrees or below. This is the kind of thing I’m absolutely likely to forget in the long term, so I treat them as pans that aren’t oven safe. A pity this information hasn’t been put on the pans somewhere! The plastic handles are quite chunky and feel solid, but aren’t sculpted to fit well in the hand, don’t have any kind of soft grip, and do have gaps on the underside that don’t feel terribly comfortable to hold. The handles have hanging loops moulded in to the ends, so they can be hung up for storage. There are no really large pans in this set. Even the larger of the frying pans is only a mid-sized pan. The frying pans have an effective non-stick surfacing, and feature a ‘thermo spot’ which changes colour from a mid-red to a dark one as an indicator of when the pan is hot and ready to use. This really does work as described. The lidded saucepans have steam vents in the glass lids, and are usefully marked on the insides at 0.5L intervals. The markings are clear and practical for use.The pans are dishwasher safe, but handwashing is recommended.

Lovely starter set
I was so thrilled to receive these pans, as our current set looks a bit battered! It arrives in a large heavy box, everything is well packaged, a bit like pass the parcel as you take one layer out, remove a pan, rinse and repeat until you get to the bottom of the box. Inside is three sizes of saucepans (with glass lids) and two different sized frying pans. The quality is really good, as expected! They're lightweight, shiny, and very sturdy. Oh, and they have measurements inside which is really handy if you forget to measure your liquids out beforehand. (That's me, that is) The glass lids are also really good and you can obviously see what's happening inside with the lid on. I'm a bit scared of dropping them though. They're easy to wash as well and came out just as shiny as they arrived. Phew. I love the frying pans too, I like making pancakes and these are ideal, they have the red spot on them that will tell you when it's fully heated. They're easy to clean too. All in all, if you have a new kitchen these are ideal. I would have liked an extra saucepan to occupy all the hobs and it's a bit pricey, but I have to say it, it's great.
