Women's Classic Tapered Amanda Jeans

Size down! I recently purchased a pair and will need to exchange them. I normally wear a 9, so I bought these in an 8, turns out, I need a 6. These pants are comfortable, the length is great. The fit, once exchanged, is great. There is some stretch to them which helps them not look baggy. I purchased the white ones, and find them to be just a bit more of a cream, but still a great color. I may purchase these in black as well.

I do love love these jeans. Been yrs since found any to wear due to fit. As evidenced by entire large plastic tote of tags on, brand new jeans, too late to return- all don’t fit in some way. I’m not picky either. The many other brands cannot wear. These Gloria V’s are amazing. Comfortable, soft, w/ pockets/belt loops needed. And seam quality is good- don’t see the stitch errors you can on economical jeans. Appearance of these Amanda Gloria V’s are much better quality. I’m 5’4, notoriously stuck btwn pant lengths. Petite are almost capri’s (I don’t wear); avg I’m walking on bottom of pants. Always plan on getting them hemmed, never do. Then the pant bottoms are eventually torn & stained a filthy color. These average length Amanda jeans fit me very well. They’re a little long, but no where near close to walking on the bottoms. There IS one pretty major issue- I wear size 18/20 on all brands, types of pants for years. Jeans, dress pants, casual, even 1pc dresses can’t be any smaller. I can’t ever find pants that fit-my hips are much smaller than waist & muffin top 😆 Ordered these in 18w, fit well maybe little loose which really made me happy. Yet did feel nice & supported too. Well within< 5 min walking around house, they suddenly fell completely to floor while mid stride. They’d already stretched out just to accommodate any movements. Okay, so ordered 16 reluctantly- haven’t worn 16 in a verrrryy long time. Kept the 18 just in case. They came, put them on- felt perfect. Little snug to zip up but fine. This time added belt, went out to concert. Stood up from seat after concert-even w/ belt, jeans almost fell right off. Had to hold up until finally home. They had stretched out that much just sitting in them. Took deep breath, ordered 14. Never thought I’d get on. Laid down flat as can, bf had to pull zipper up, I couldn’t. He struggled for good 5min; finally got it. Still didn’t trust- wore belt. We went out for breakfast, then stopped at stores. By beg. of 1st store- jeans again completely stretched out & I needed to find restroom to tighten belt again. Once home- jeans wouldn’t stay up w/o tight belt. I LOVE being able to see my jean tag w/ a sz haven’t had in decades! Still can’t believe it. BUT- they’re a good couple sizes smaller than my norm. Even then- strongly suggest a belt. Amazing jeans once you know sizes!

Well made jeans. Stark white that I loved. Size 10 (my regular size) was too tight. Size 12 was way too large. And the stretch of the fabric would not have worked if I tried to shrink them. Sadly, both pair went back.

Nice pants with a classic look and comfortable fabric. Unfortunately, the sizing was way off for me. I ordered my usual size 6, but they were much too big, so I ended up returning them. I would recommend checking the size chart carefully before ordering.

This information is for reference, I am 5”11 and roughly 230lbs evenly distributed. I opened the package revealing a white 14 long jeans pants that was originally $50 but got it on sale for $19.99. My first time trying them so I decided to make the purchase as it was on sale. First I noticed how thick and soft the material was. Then the color was lily white, not off white or eggshell (which is amazing). The stretching when trying it on was perfect, not too much and not too little. It felt so comfortable on my body. It almost felt like a warm cloud of cotton. The waist fits me well, am average at 38 inches/ 45inches hip and got a nice fit around my waist, hips and thighs. The pocket feels warm and also covers my entire hand. My best part is the length, I don’t usually get jeans that fit my height and not look like it’s barely covering my ankles but this one fit perfectly. I haven’t worn it yet but if I do I know it will be a perfect fit for any occasion.

I thought these looked like really stylish jeans and was excited to try them on. I think the sizing was correct, but they just fit weird, like they're too baggy in the wrong places. The high-rise front looks good, but the way the fit my butt is just unflattering, sagging when similar jeans I've bought fit my hips and butt well. I know they're baggy jeans, but I was hoping they'd be tighter at top and wider in the leg, but it sags and shows no definition like the product photo. I am tall with a long waist, very possible that these fit better on a more curvy or shorter body type. I'm 6'1" with 36" waist and 44" hip and bought 16 long. The length is right and the waist feels correct, just doesn't work for me. Also the waist doesn't have very much stretch, which would have been preferred. They do manage to stay in place pretty well pulled all the way up. The material does feel quality, and I do really like the color of the jeans though (Rinse Noir) and think the seam highlights are really cool looking. Hoping that some wear and a few washes might change them a bit, but brand new they're not what I hoped.

It was suggested on here that I get a size 12.I got a 14.Glad I did because they are too tight in the tummy area.Im not worried tho.These are the only jeans I wore in the 70's and I know they stretch out as you wear them.Besides I am dieting.I got the regular length and they are a little long but I can deal with that.Love these Amanda jeans.

Beautiful quality so comfortable. I will you replacing all of my Gloria Vanderbilt jeans with this style. Just the right of stretch, how much better fit a much better fit than the other styles. I was just disappointed in the color but its hard to tell when you're ordering online. Really great fabric fabric.

I honestly burst out laughing when I took these jeans out of the plastic sleeve. There was no way I'd be able to fit one thigh let alone the rest of me into 'that'!! Well I took the challenge and not only do they fit but they fit exactly like the model in the website pic with the Frisco wash....snug through the waist and hips and straight down to the top of the foot. For reference I'm 5' 9" and 135ish lbs and the size 6 (Regular length) fit like they were tailored for me. (Ladies please be kind and offer this information; it helps determine sizing when shopping online). However, I do have to agree with a number of the reviews that were posted for this particular item. The fabric, style and 'taper' on these jeans has changed pretty dramatically. I should know since I have a pair of Amanda jeans that I bought from Amazon about two years ago. At that time, I bought a size 8 in the 'long' length and agree that not only has the fabric changed but the taper has pretty much disappeared. The earlier versions were considerably more cotton rich and elastane poor. I can't argue with a label that indicates the following fibre content: 60% cotton, 30% polyester and 2% elastane. While I'm not exactly a wiz at math....I'd say we're still some 8% short on fibre content. The leg on these new Amanda jeans (at least 3 affixed labels and little swan embroidery on watch pocket prove it!!) is definitely more of a straight cut and the fabric on the pair I received in remarkably similar to those Oprah-loved jeans where you have to size down from you normal size because you're basically wearing something with serious compression. Having recently tried more than a dozen different pairs of jeans before lucking into this pair I can say that I'd prefer something that's instantly forgiving, soft and looks good to holding out for stiff cotton that takes ages to break-in successfully. Personally I highly recommend these jeans. The price was great, they fit perfectly, are soft and comfortable and look great...love them!

These pants were just what I wanted in a dressier pair of jeans. A perfect fit!

I've ordered 2 pair, so far. The first ones fit so comfortably that I just had to have at least one more pair. I got the Scottsdale the first time (usual denim color). I wear a size 14 and ordered a 14. They fit like a glove. I don't like my jeans longer than my shoe tops so the regular length will need shortening. The second pair are a light brown size 14, but this time I ordered "short". They are perfect. I'm 5'5", usually get a 30 inseam, so the short are exactly what I wanted. I'll have to see if they have the same ones in a different color, for sure I'll buy them. The stretch doesn't distort the pants and is just enough to mold your body, they are flattering while also feeling good. I'm 66 and like my jeans to be at my natural waist line and these really do. Not to give you the impression that they are only for old ladies though, they look very nice.
