It takes longer than 10 minutes but it works!
Wasn't sure how successful this would be but it does work. Put the syrup & water in the fridge before hand to help speed up the process. It took us 20 mins but it did form ice crystals & tastes like I remember as a child. Kids enjoyed it & it's a lot cheaper than buying the slush puppie machine & easier to store.

Works but takes a while!
I found out by reading reviews you have to freeze the cup completely over night and also put the liquid in the fridge for it to work, it takes a while to form into slush but it does work and I think it’s completely worth the wait!! Also if you have more than 1 cup and just keep them in the freezer after washing them, then yeah completely worth it and I highly recommend!! The reason I got the cup is because I had the slush puppy machine before but it requires 100g of salt for it to work which is dangerous so the cups are much better!!

Preferred this to the Slush Puppie 9047 macjine
If you’ve got the time to use this I found it preferable to the 9047 machine. With that it takes loads of ice which has to be a certain size & often jammed. Plus it didn’t seem to have the right consistency compared to this cup. You have to freeze the cup well. I keep it in the freezer until it’s needed again. Then after pouring in the mix leave with the lid on for 10 minutes & using the spoon provided scrape the ice from all sides & leave for another 10 minutes. With a really good mix & scraping the sides again it was generally ready. As you are scraping & mixing it seems to form more slush as well. If not quite ready another 5 did it. My granddaughter not known for her patience actually really enjoys helping to make the drinks & thinks they are great. I’d definitely recommend as long as you don’t mind the wait but it has worked every time.

Perfect slushy
We followed the instructions and it actually worked. Quite a few reviews had mentioned it didn't freeze. I left it in the freezer overnight and used ice cold water and bingo the perfect slush. Fast delivery well packaged. Thank you

Worked for us. We also got the red one too
We managed to make pretty convincing slush puppies with this kit. I think the trick is to make sure your cup is in the freezer for more than a day and that you cool the liquid in the fridge as well beforehand. One of the inner cups have buckled but doesn't seem to have affected the slush making. If you don't know how this works then here is what you do with the kit:1) Place inner cup in freezer overnight2) Mix up some liquid and place in fridge3) Take cup out of freezer and pour cold liquid into it4) Place cover on cup5) After a few minutes the liquid will form ice crystals against the frozen inner cup. Scrape off the ice and wait.6) After a few more minutes scrape off the ice again.7) Repeat until you have a full cup of slush puppieObviously this is not how they make it in the shops but this is way more fun for the kids.

Just a Fancy Cup
Bought this for my husband and niece as they love Slush Puppies. Tried it twice and all we ended up with was coloured water, no ice at all. Just couldn't get it to work - didn't expect a result like the machine but thought it might at least create some ice, none at all. You ended up with blue tasting water, horrible. Total waste of money.

.
This definitely works, but maybe start making the slush before asking if your child wants it as it takes around 30 minutes for the slush to form.
