For such an inexpensive price I was surprised by how great the quality is. It was very easy and quick to install plus the design is nice and it has a cover for security. Love it!

I am very happy with this webcam. There were many choices and I finally settled on this one. Considering that I am not very tech savvy, I was surprised that I could hook it up myself, just reading the directions. The quality seems quite good, especially for the money. The two folks I mainly Skype with commented favorably on the improvement in picture and sound (I was replacing that was about 20 years old, and while still working the picture and sound quality were not very good). This picture is very clear. The only thing I can't comment on is, of course, longevity. We'll have to see on that. The turn around time on the order was very short--two days and I am pretty rural.

IMPORTANT NOTE FOR LOGITECH WEBCAM OWNERS:If you ALREADY own a Logitech webcam, (i own the C920), and you have the Logitech drivers / software installed on your PC, and then you plug in one of these 3rd party webcams into that SAME PC. These 3rd party webcams will install it's drivers into your PC which will overwrite the Logitech webcam drivers.The result?When you try to open your Logitech webcam settings, it WON'T show you the Logitech settings, it'll show you the default windows 10 webcam settings. (which is crap)The fix?You have to reinstall the Logitech webcam drivers / software.I found this out when i tested one of these 3rd party webcams on my main PC and i lost my Logitech webcam settings.__________________________I'm calling these non Logitech webcam "3rd party webcams" because they look like Logitech clones.I already owned a Logitech c920 webcam but i needed 2 more.__________________________In my uploaded photos:My Logitech c920 webcam is the one that has the black Velcro tape on it and the privacy cover(it doesn't come with a privacy cover i bought that separate)__________________________The Logitech c920 webcam cost me around $70 years ago. When the covid19 pandemic hit, the prices and availability made getting another Logitech c920 difficult. The prices went up to $100+, if you can even find one.So i bought multiple 3rd party webcams on amazon to try to find the best webcam(These 3rd party webcams are definitely some Chinese made products with lower quality than logitech but they do work)__________________________THE WINNING WEBCAM I PICKED IS:Vitade 928A ProVitade 928A Pro webcam is the closest thing to a Logitech c920. It's not 100% exact but it's very close.__________________________Vitade 928A Pro webcamPROS:- Adjustability -The Vitade 928A Pro webcam has 1 feature that the Logitech webcam doesn't have which is...It let's you rotate the webcam left and right and you can also aim the webcam straight down. The logitech let's you aim down very slightly but that's all it let's you do.(Logitech didn't think of that but they should add that to their webcam)- Plug n Play -These 3rd party webcams don't require that you install software / drivers. You plug it in and it installs itself quickly and it just works...BUT then you'll be confused because how do you adjust the settings? The zoom? etc...Turns out there's some webcam settings built into windows but it's confusing on where to go to find it, how do you open the settings option? I still have no idea. The software i use OBS has a link to adjust the camera settings that's where i go to click to open it.- Size -It ALMOST matches the Logitech c920 webcam compact size exactly- Cost -It's the price of the Logitech c920 if there wasn't a covid pandemic. But the Vitade 928A Pro webcam randomly goes on sale. Lowest i seen it go on sale is around $50 something. If you can get it for around $50, at maximum I've seen them going for at most around $69. Around $50 i think that's a good deal right now during the pandemic. BUT the Logitech c920 is a trusted webcam that will last for years. (Mine has lasted 5 or more years)- Field of view -It's the same field of view as the Logitech c920.If you're sitting at a desk and DON'T want your WHOLE background in view, get this webcamif you want a really WIDE field of view, the EMEET C960 is betterNOTE:With the EMEET C960 , a larger portion of your room will be in view and you can't zoom in to hide it, if you zoom in then you'll zoom in too much on your face. The EMEETC960 also looks like a clone of a different Logitech webcam model. The size of this webcam is larger and more bulky than a Logitech C920 webcam.NEW NOTE (shrink your field of view):I found out, if you're using the OBS software, you can actually hold (i believe it's the ALT key) and then you click and drag the left / right of your webcam box......The result:It's sort of like shrinking your field of view. You can hide the extra space to the left and right of you. You can also do that for the top and bottom of the webcam box.- Privacy Cover -The Logitech c920 does NOT have any privacy cover, you have to buy that separate and attach it like i did.NOTE:You don't need to use adhesive Velcro like i did, i put that there for something else but i found that the Velcro does make the privacy cover stay in place really well so it doesn't slide over easily.The Vitade 928A Pro webcam has a privacy cover built in (behind the glass), there's a little plastic switch at the top of the webcam, you have to manually slide the switch over with your finger to cover the lens. Since i owned 3 of these webcams i can tell you that this switch can be either easy to slide over or very stiff.If the Vitade 928A Pro privacy cover switch is stiff you may have to return it to get a replacement OR that'll be your new reality having to work extra hard to slide it over each time.Privacy cover on the other 2 webcams....The Nexigo N930AF webcam comes with a very cheap privacy cover that i think had adhesive but that webcam sucks so I'm not going to even discuss it. I don't recommend that webcam.EMEETC960 doesn't have a privacy cover and i honestly don't know if they even sell one for it because it's so large and bulky. You may have to use black tape as a cover.- Auto Focus -Surprisingly all webcams had decent auto focus. I moved the webcam VERY close to my face and they were able to adjust the focus by themselves. I personally just use the manual focus but they all did a decent job focusing.- Auto Focus Noise -The Vitade 928A Pro makes a click nose when it focuses. I don't remember if it happens when it's in auto focus but i know 100% when i manual focus it will make that noise.The other webcams are quiet.- Quality -Vitade 928A Pro was the best quality out of the other 3rd party webcams in my opinion. Quality looked very close to a Logitech c920.- Lag -I didn't notice any lag compared to my Logitech c920 webcam. If you're using these webcams for Twitch and you create a small webcam box over your stream, no one would even notice the difference between many of these webcams. It will all look pretty much the same._________________________Vitade 928A Pro webcamCONS:- Software -This is the biggest negative of ALL these 3rd party webcams. Logitech has really good and visually nice looking webcam software that is easy to use and works well. That Logitech webcam software will let you fix all your webcam settings no matter what software you use your webcam in.These 3rd party webcams are plug and play but then you don't get the nice software settings to adjust things. BUT what i found out was Windows 10 has basic default webcam software / settings built into windows to adjust ALL webcams. It doesn't loo pretty it's super basic but it has many settings.YOU JUST NEED TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO OPEN THOSE WINDOWS 10 WEBCAM SETTINGS, where is it located? I open it via the software i use for my webcam, if not for that i honestly don't know how to open it.So i still prefer Logitech's webcam software.- Cost -It cost around same as a Logitech c920 would have cost. For that price i rather buy the Logitech c920 but because of the Pandemic, it's difficult.- USB cord Length -This webcam has a VERY short USB cord. You may need to buy a USB extension cord if you're cable managing, need more distance or moving your webcam at all. The cord may also come very bent out of shape.NOTE:The other two 3rd party webcams have longer USB cables.- Makes an odd click noise -When you zoom in and out, turn the webcam on / off, it does a little clicking noise. It sounds odd and cheap. Makes it sound like it's broken.(I've had and test 3 of these and they all do the clicking noise)I wish it didn't click but because this webcam was the best i tried i decided to keep it anyway. I'm not using it as my dedicated webcam so it doesn't bother me.__________________________OTHER INFO:- Microphone -I did NOT test the microphone on ANY of these webcams. Not even my own Logitech webcam. I never use the microphone built into my webcam. If you want a proper good quality microphone i suggest you buy a dedicated microphone. Or get a Logitech headset with a microphone built in. In the end, a dedicated microphone will give you the best sound.- Webcam Settings -NOTE: ALL the 3rd party webcams by default will have AUTO turned on for many of it's settings (until you turn it off) so if you see the colors changing randomly, etc. It's because it's on AUTO by default. You have to go in and change the settings (if you can find out how to open the settings)- Defective Test -I ordered 3 total of these Vitade 928A Pro webcams, 2 from this seller and 1 from a different seller. The 1 i ordered from a different seller didn't work well. It wouldn't turn on easily. I kept having to turn it on and off to get it to work. Soooo you should test it by trying to activate (turn on) the webcam and then turning it back off. Do that a couple of times and see if it's dependable, if it gives you problems replace it with a new one.The two webcams i ordered from this seller worked perfectly, still has a click noise but besides that it works.__________________________IN CONCLUSION:The Vitade 928A pro is a good budget webcam that compares very well to a Logitech c920.But if i had NO webcam and i really needed ONE really good quality dependable webcam to last for many years and money isn't an issue. Especially if it's a webcam for work purposes. I would buy the Logitech c920 even if it's $100.Otherwise, this Vitade 928A pro is a good option.The EMEETC920 is my 2nd pick, also a good webcam just a wider field of view.The N920AF is the most compact webcam but it's terrible don't bother buying it.

I purchased this videocam in March 2020 for Zoom meetings when COVID-19 made in-person meetings with clients unwise. Set-up was simple and I've been happy with the results — the video is sharp, the colors good (I do have to adjust the lighting in my office to get the best results), and the mic works well (although I do occasional have to repeat myself — the cam is about 2½ feet from my face, sitting on top of my 28" display). Works well with Zoom's background feature. A great buy (but then it was only $53.99 back in March 2020). Highly recommended!

Using it on my Monitor

I purchased this camera for work as I work remotely from my home office. This is a big improvement from the small laptop video camera. The quality is significantly better, especially in lower light conditions. It mounts easily on my external monitor although be aware that the clamps are long enough for large curved monitors (I am using a 34” Curved LED). The camera can still perch on the monitor so it’s not really an issue. Installation was a breeze. It auto detects in Windows 10 and shows up as an external webcam. This works well with WebEx and Teams. The included physical privacy toggle is a nice feature. Overall I’m happy with the purchase and am enjoying a better web conference experience.

This is an amazing webcam! I was looking for a Logitech but they were all back-ordered. I unboxed the 928A, plugged it into a USB port and my Zoom video calls automatically started using the new web camera and microphone. I was deciding whether to get the Vitade 682H with its 1080p at 60 fps but got this with only 30 fps because of the privacy cover. I couldn't imagine getting a web cam without a privacy cover... For video conferencing I doubt one could tell the difference between my 30 and 60 fps.My laptop (2011 Dell XPS 17) has a 720p internal web cam and the difference with 1080p is striking, both resolution and field of view (wider with the 928A). I wish I could use Xsplit for the virtual background but the app refuses to install because my Core i7 early generation processor is allegedly too slow.I like this so much, I'm ordering a second one for my wife, who as of recently also works from home.Oh, and I use the webcam with this ring light https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07TDJ7PWC/ and it's a solid combination (I ordered another ring light for my wife as well).

In the past I've bought the name brand one that looks just like this but when I needed a new one at work I thought I would try a less expensive option. This camera has all the functionality and a better image. The mount is what really made me like it. It seems much easier to swivel around and get pointed exactly where I wanted it and it says in position. Came with one of the better desktop tripods I've seen also. Also a built-in lens cover, that's a must have privacy feature.

Working from home because of the pandemic and the camera built into the MacBook Pro isn't very good. Every Logitech or branded camera was sold out (literally) so I took a gamble buying this one because it wasn't made by an identified company.If you have good lighting, this camera is fantastic. Extremely clear and very good resolution. Way better than my built in camera. You can notice the autofocus working if you move forward and backward a lot, so it isn't instantaneous.When I first plugged it in everything was pink, but I realized that was because my computer had a credenza over it, blocking the light. So I had to reconfigure my desk to use this camera as under low light conditions everything is tinged pink. But even normal room light fixes this. Just mentioning it because that was what I noticed immediately and thought "oh no I have to return it".So all in all, very good camera. I'm satisfied with my purchase.

You will be like, uh, phew, I finally got a half decent webcam, thank god. Your built-in MacBook Pro or iMac HD Webcam is only 720p and you want something better. Welcome to my world. By the time you read this, Logitech may have already produced thousands of webcams and this product now becomes relegated to a Tier 2 option. If not, read more to find out what you need to know.The webcam works just fine. What you are actually buying is a product made in Taiwan. The vendor and product IDs identify it as a Microdia USB 2.0 Camera, maybe manufactured by Sonix in Taiwan. You can tell this is an Asian knock-off mainly because the device as programmed and identified as a USB Live "Camcra". Yes, really. I am using this on a MacBook Pro mid-2015 running OSX Catalina. No specific problems. The video quality is pretty sharp with 1080p. It's a noticeable improvement in both resolution and signal-to-noise from the built-in laptop camera. There are a few complaints here on this site regarding the autofocus and color cast. The problem here is that, yes, out of the box these things need tuning. The autofocus is annoying, the color cast is not perfect. It might work for most people as you can tell from the reviews. However, the issue is that there is no way to control this on a Mac without third-party software. An app called "Webcam Settings" actually solves most of these problems: you can disable the autofocus (works best with fixed focus), adjust the backlight compensation, exposure time (minimizes any residual blur in good light), etc. The quality of the camera is pretty good; it's not cheap, it has a good weight. It has a standard 1/4" thread for tripod mounting, and it mounts nicely on a monitor or laptop (very similar to any Logitech model). The head swivels and tilts to adjust just fine. There is a red light that appears when the camera is active. There is the sliding window for privacy. I did not test the microphone on this; you would usually have better options. There are some other video reviews out there that compare this 928A model with a Logitech C920, and you can see from those YouTube reviews that the quality is compared (search for "Vitade 928A Pro USB Computer Web Camera Video Cam for Streaming Gaming Conferencing" on YouTube).This is relatively expensive right now given what it is. The most comparable model in Logitech is a C922 which retails for about the same price. At the current price, you are paying a premium. It is May 2020. By July, you may be able to get a Logitech 930e for about this same price (although one distributor said they had a backorder of 2,000 requests). As such, if you can grab one of these in the meantime, you might think about doing that.

Easy set up and a very good price

I'd ordered a more expensive webcam, only to have the shipping really delayed, so I decided to get this webcam because of the overnight delivery, the reasonable price, and it sounded like it would do the job. It is actually a great little webcam, and meets all the expectations I wanted. It shipped and arrived in a single day, the price was reasonable, it was professionally packaged, and you basically plug it into the computer and it works right away. Very pleasantly surprised, as I really wasn't sure what to expect from this particular purchase. I cancelled the order for the other webcam, as I decided that I had no reason to pay twice as much for the Logitech name.

Got this cam for my son b-day and at the beginning, I was concern of the quality as it is not a reputable brand name as Logitech which I usually buy however I still order it due of the reviews.We installed it (simple plug and play) and I am very surprise of the quality of the image and sound. It was very clear and no lagging Also the auto focus works great.The only thing I was deceived a bit is they tell it has the option to add background features however to get it, you have to pay for it .Overall, its a great bang for your buck!Hopefully it will last for a long time.
