Works for what you need if you Understand how to "Read" a bulb and box detail
People say this is inadequate or weak. But it serves a purpose. For me. I have a Large iguana. Who likes to sit tall in cage. This light is perfect because it lets me move her basking spot higher in cage . If i had a stronger bulb shed have to be halfway or at bottom 1/3 of cage, and make the cage have unused space. But i just move her closer to get the adequate rating for UVB and UVA, also moved few inches closer to make up for the 30-50% decrease in light from the screen top. All about doing the math . For distances and animal for different types of bulbs. You MUST research lighting first and understand what your animal needs before just buying what the pet store told you. I also have a arcadia 24 watt 22 inch balast with a 6% forest bulb on other side of cage which gets rest of cage at a depth..all about a balance from distances to animal.

Defective
I received this light bulb on May 16, and it was already burned out by May 27, 2023. So disappointed in this product. What a hassle to get a replacement. Amazon cannot send a replacement so I had to have it canceled, returned and then reorder a new one. Totally unacceptable!!!!!!

Lasted six weeks
Died after six weeks. That’s five dollars per week. Expensive.I’ve been using this brand for years, but you do get bad units fairly often.

Bulb burned out in a month! Very disappointing.

Burnt out about 3 weeks after purchase. And it appears this has happened to several others as well. Not worth the money

The bulb has metal protruding from the top! Cheap quality for a $28 bulb!
