Good product, easy enough to fit it yourself but do measure first
Having noticed a draft coming from the window, I found online that the seal might be the problem and looked at how to replace it (there are some good videos to show you how, just do a search). I actually removed the window and brought it inside, which made it easy to remove the old seal and put in the new one. It would’ve been very fiddly to do it around the hinges otherwise. I would consider myself to be a competent amateur DIY’er, and I managed fine to both remove the window and to put in this new seal. I did measure the gaps as recommended by other reviews, to make sure I had the correct seal, and it popped in just fine. Just take your time to go round and press it in, sometimes needs an extra press after so a second check round the edges is worth it. So far no draft, so I think it’s a job well done. Very pleased with it.

Resealed an old window
Great product. We stripped old broken down draughty seals from a double glazed window and replaced with Stormguard. It's great. Window is no longer draughty, it's quiet when closed and sealed perfectly. Once we got the hang of installing, it was OK. Really pleased with the results for not much money, like a new window now! Will definitely buy again if we develop any problems with other windows

Good quality
Bought to rejuvenate my upvc doors, fantastic bit of kit, easy to use and fit, definitely will buy again when needed and cheaper than a new door!

Much needed seal for my windows
Needed to replace the seals on my uPVC windows and doors as the rubber had gone hard and perished. I purchased a similar item from a well-known DIY outlet but needed extra. Although the dimensions are ever so slightly different in this tub, it is cheaper and 5 metres longer but fitted fine. The job is fiddly. I found that pulling at a corner and pushing the sealant in the same direction, I could usually coax the whole lot out. Fitting is more of an effort particularly upstairs windows. You have to use your thumbs to press into the track, I did use a plastic push tool to help but the best way was to remove the window and install the seal on the floor. Needs two people to do this. I have also replaced the seal that sits on the frame on a few windows as well. It fits, works (the windows have a slight resistance on final closure) and I'm sure will last for a number of years.

Great product and an easy fit
Okay.... so I had noticed an increase in road noise and the cold seemed to be getting through. Checking the seals, something I hadn't thought to do since buying this house helped me to implement a quick fix. My.existing window seals where hard, brittle and the window thumped the frame when shut. It took me a couple of hours on a cold winters day to strip out existing seals, clean and replace. Thst fact these are lubed up really helps, and makes sliding into those tight fits so much easier. remember not to stretch and just be patient on corners. Would recommend and replacing the seals have helped windows are tight to frame and the lock levers are stiff as a result, drafts and noise have reduced.

Sore thumbs! - but I am not an expert!
found it hard to fit in my "old doors -15 years of age) have sore thumbs and fingers!. However seems to be working although quality compared to "old" seal looks lower. price ok and some tips on fitting available online. however beware the expert fitters they make it look so easy lol!

Great Solution to Updating our Door and Window Seal
I hadn't quite realised just how bad our door seal was. I knew it was old and probably crushed, but when I started pulling the old stuff out I realised it was completely ripped and torn. I've now done one front door and two small windows. Got the original pot from Screwfix 20mts, then a review on there mentioned that the pot on here (Amazon) is the same but 25mts and cheaper. Is it easy to use? Yes and know. Basically, you are trying to force a piece of rubber into a tiny little groove. When it goes in, it goes in easily. But if it misses by even a fraction of a milimetre, then it really is a pain. I was hanging out of a window trying to do mine, not a comfortable working situation. However, after reading other reviews, I tried the Washing Up liquid method. Just squirt some in the groove and get as much as you can over the rubber (without it dripping everywhere of course) and it really does help. Once you start to get a run on it, it goes in easily. With only the occasional stubborn bit. Can certainly recommend. It's reduced the air flow coming in front the door and windows considerably.
