Replaced my old worn mouse rotary encoder with one of these. Works great now and has that brand new mouse feel to it when scrolling. I now need to wear in my 20 year old mouse again. Thanks!

Be sure to request the data sheet for this rotary encoder from the seller to confirm it will work for your particular mouse.I had 2 mice that I wanted to try and replace the broken encoder on. Turns out this replacement only works in one of them because they have different pin outs/circuitry. It also has a slightly larger through hole than many other brands which creates a little bit of play in the scroll wheel when scrolling. On the mouse it fit in, it works perfect though.

EDIT: I originally gave this three stars due to an issue I ran into that turned out to be software-related. Adjusted to a five-star since that issue isn't related to these encoders.I bought this to quickly replace a broken scroll encoder on my Swiftpoint Z, since everywhere I looked that carried Kailh encoders were at least a month to ship. I used one of the 7mm units from this batch.Notes:- The top of the encoders are uncovered, leaving the possibility that debris could get into the mechanism. Probably not an issue if it's housed reasonably well inside a mouse, but if it's somewhat exposed, it could pose an issue.- These have a smooth, sort of "floaty" scrolling feel to them (but not in a bad way). Each notch is distinct, but the force needed to actuate is low. Good for scrolling rapidly, somewhat less for scrolling precisely.

Encoders don't have very noticeable detents. I've had worse, but this aren't great. Still, they work. Pretty sure they're F-switch type. Wish there was a 12mm, but I needed the 5mm for a Mad Catz RAT 9 for a customer. Works great!

I got these since I wasn't sure the size of my encoder. Turns out its an 8mm. Nonetheless a 9mm worked from this pack. I didn't like the way it felt though and there was a strange audible metallic sound from it when it rotated. I found a supplier for a kailh 8mm encoder and bought those and they're much better.I can't really recommend these. Unless you plan on fixing and reselling mice and just want it to work. Then maybe. They're very cheap, but they'll get you by.

I ordered this whole pack because the scroll wheel on my "gaming" mouse was jumping the wrong direction after only a couple of months of use. I was able to replace the 13mm encoder with one from this kit in a matter of minutes! All the encoders came in separate baggies inside of a larger baggie, making it easy to identify. Been using for a week now, and nothing but good I can say about these! If somehow this one goes out, guess what? I have another four in my pack :)

My logitech mouse has had a few too many spins of the wheel. The encoder would work backwards if spun too fast. The 11mm encoder was a perfect replacement and now my mouse if fully functional again.
