does it work with the car cigarette lighter? does the battery not discharge after 7/8 hours of operation?

Yes it does run from the cigarette socket. Your not supposed to run your CPAP with the dehumidifier while running from the 12v cigarette socket. If your using it in a vehicle then your battery should always retain enough juice to start your vehicle the next day. It will turn your Cpap of before its exhausted.

Is this an actual converter or as it states a charger, Will my Resmed sence10 basically run directly from a 12v deep cycle battery with this unit.

It's not a charger. It can run off a battery but only if you attach a 12volt socket. Or you can plug it in your cars 12volt socket. I use it plugged into a solar power generator.it still runs the humidifier if necessary but uses less energy than a 3pin plug.

I purchased this item and can confirm that it works with my Airsense 10 CPAP. I have used it with my power pack in a hotel where there was no socket near the bed.

Non-original functional device

Great value item that does the job. Nowhere near the size or weight of the OEM item but works just as well. Pity that ResMed change the plugs on their CPAP machines so you have to buy new power converters, but at this price, it is an easy purchase.

Freedom

Small and compact converter. Works well

Works as intended for my resmed machine. Was able to camp with a 12v sealed acid battery and a terminal cigar lighter socket this and the battery cost way less than the manufactures portable options so for me was a no brainer. Also this DC converter is a fraction of the cost of the manufactures unit. And much smaller too. So I can pack this and the Ac adapter in my CPap bag and use ether when I have or don't have access to a wall outlet. It's a must have for people who enjoy camping or travel away from home.
