MCIGICM TL-16 Banana to Large Alligator Test Lead Set, 6 Pcs

I bought these back in 2020 during the pandemic so students could perform experiments at home during the pandemic. They were returned and are now see duty in our labs. They have held up quite well. Of the sixty or so we purchase we may have had one failure, and that probably due to a student error. Highly recommended.

They work perfect with my small hobby charger. Didn't have a single issue out of them. Perfect fit and clamps held on well.

Item was what expected

A bit soft but works as expected

Reasonable quality for the price. While other reviewers have commented that the alligator clips were soldered on to the leads, mine were not. No big deal. A bigger deal is that they are also considerably shorter than 36". Mine were about 33", and that's measuring tip-to-tip.

Great for testing circuits

These test leads appear to be reasonably well made. The alligator clip is soldered to the wire, and the banana plug strain relief is molded on. Chinese banana plugs often seem to be made with a "swivel" feature where the spring portion is free to rotate on a center shaft. This can create an electrically "noisy" (intermittent) connection if tolerances are not extremely tight. While these test leads do use this design, they do not seem as wobbly as other banana plugs, so they are better than average. Don't expect miracles for the price, but these are better than many of their competitors.

These work well with the eq3 if you're reconditioning hybrid battery cells. I'm using them right now. I wish the wires were a little bit longer but they will do just fine
