Do not buy this garbage
I bought these in several lengths for a remodel project. Waste of money. These pipes are flimsy and have thin walls. They have only short sections of thread so you have very little adjustment. They have so few threads the ones I used for shelf holders fall out. Further, you will need to buy 20 percent more than you need because several of the pipes had bad threads on them and could not be used. A really shoddy product. Hate the.

The Threads are poorly made
Though they look really nice and have a clean finish, non of that maters if they don't properly screw into the fittings. Sometimes they were too loose and sometimes the threads were not fully formed so they wouldn't screw in at all.

Worthless buy and I would not recommend at all.
Horrible product. Cheaply made. One end was threaded ok'ish but the other end was horrible. So horrible in fact you could not put another piece on the end.

Just as Expected
I used one of these pipes in a table lamp project that I was doing. I decided on this size and bought these because the local home center was asking $7 EACH for a pipe this size and they are not very nice. I've bought them at the home center before for my pipe clamps, and they are filthy and not very nice looking even when thoroughly cleaned. I was drawn to these for price, cleanliness, and the hope they looked nice with the paint. These worked perfectly as a facilitator for my lamp's wiring, bulb, and shade. They also look much nicer than alternatives that I've seen.

These are not the thick steel pipes they look like
These pipes are thin! They are made from some sheet metal and joined with a seam. The color of them does not remotely match actual fittings and the paint chips off of them too. In fairness, after I painted all of the parts they matched well enough to make a towel bar. But they are not made of the same thickness or quality that all of the other plumbing grade fittings are. The nipples, elbows, tees, etc. that you buy will all be far better quality.

Works awesome (actual customer)
First, this is a decorative product which is fine. I made iron pipe adapters for swing arm desk lamps that I mounted on the side of an upper desk hutch. It worked awesome. This product is plenty strong and rock solid if used as general hardware. It is NOT commercial pluming iron pipe. I made L adapters with two flanges (one on each end), a 4" pipe (from desk to elbow) and a 2" pipe from elbow upwards to flange. One the desk end I mounted a 4" square block to mount the flange on and on the upper flange I mounted a round piece of wood the size of the flange to mount the swing arm base on. I painted the whole assembly (without the lamp and base mounted) with satin black and satin clear coated it. Came out awesome.

Light weight
First let me say this is one of the cleaner brands being sold on Amazon. The 36in seems to be the longest it comes in and I understand why that is. I constructed two closets using this product because of its lightweight feel. It will bend more easy at the joints so consider how you place iIt or load on it. My recommendation is to scrape off the paint using a drill and wire rotary tool from the heads. The paint makes it extremely difficult to screw into any of the other pieces and I do recommend screwing them all the way to the base. After final construction it does hold well. I used a .75x3.5in board mounted to the studs (this particular home has metal studs), then I mounted the pipe to the wood.
