I purchased a Small for my Yorkie, so maybe a M…although I feel it isn’t a good safety helmet product. It’s cute, but I suggest you look for a good one.

What size should I take for an average schnauzer miniature?

I have a small female pug, and really wasn't sure which to get, so I bought both. Glad I did, the small fit her head better between her ears but not even close under her jaw. The large was a little big but I was able to modify the jaw strap, beyond the makers options, so it was tighter. It your pup is narrow under the ears and lower jaw the small would probably work. The trick is getting the strap snug but not cutting.
