Better than I thought
It's quite powerful and I was hable to drill on concrete to install a TV bracket. The only downside is the poor quality on the front handle that breaks easily. So when installing be aware of not pushing the attaching screw to hard.

chunky but cheap
Purchased this to replace 15 year old drill and so far its been great. Simple, chunky and easy to operate. Not the lightest or quietest, but it does the jobs i need it to do. Hopefully it will last and if it doesn't, at these prices i won't feel too cheated.

Value for money
Value for money in my opinion. I got this because I needed to drill threw concrete and it did a very good job. Fits the hand nice, not too heavy, hammer action, uk plug.

Not much torque
I was under the impression that impact drills sort of "boost" turning forces as you're drilling. Not sure about that, but this drill doesn't have much torque at all. If you forget your chuck key, with most mains drills you can sort of grip the chuck (with gloves), give the trigger a tap and it'll probably do the chuck up well enough to get going. Not on this drill - it's pretty feeble. There's a similarly cheap Silverline (hammer, not impact) that's better than this one. That said, it's a cheap drill, it'll make holes and so probably meets immediate requirements for most. Just don't expect too much from it (obvs. at the price).

Variable speed, drills holes with ease, better than my old drill.
It's slightly heavy for me, but my word doesn't it make mincemeat out of drilling holes. It's such good value for money. I recommend it. Love it.
