I already had McAfee installed on my computer. The expiration date was coming up. I purchased this license at a lot lower price. Once you receive it, follow the directions as if you are installing it for the first time. You go to the provided weblink and walk through the install. In my case, it detected my version . Mine was an older version so it removed it and reinstalled this newer version.I give it 4 stars because it forces you to auto sign up for renewal in a year's time. I can cancel the renewal , but I have to remember to do so. Otherwise, I would have given it 5 stars.

Definitely purchase again..
