There is nothing cheaper I have purchased on Amazon that has given me more pleasure. As I write in bed I am watching hummers feeding from these little feeders attached to my bedroom window. AND!!!! I have used one to feed a Hummer from my hand. One of the most exciting moments of my life! OK, I may be simple, but I’m grateful I’m that easy to entertain.I had no idea how smart hummingbirds are before I started feeding these little gems. They get to know you because they stay in the same territory unless they get kicked out by another Hummer. Though these little feeders are small and affordable enough to it all around your house to kee favorite friends in your yard. If you keep your speech simple and give your backyard Hummer a name they will actually come when you call them. They are really curious about us too.Here is why I love these feeders.....- I have kept bullied hummers in my yard by placing these all around my house. Front and back yard.- yes, once you have hummers it is quite possible you will need to refill nectar every day, but it keeps the fluid fresh and it’s easy to refill. Besides, it’s when I have the most interaction with them. They buzz over my head and get all excited.- they are easy to mount and easy to clean. I just keep rotating clean ones when the others get messy.- I use Vaseline around the suction cups to keep ants out.- make sure suction cup is dampened before securing to window.- cups are easy to remove from suction holders- because nectar needs to be replaced more often the hummers seem partial to these despite having you as an audience spying up close while they drink!- no other feeder allows you this close of an interaction with a hummingbird. I lie in bed and wake up each morning watching them feed. I wash dishes while having up close viewing.- it doesn’t take long for hummers to find.- best, if you are patient, these little feeders give you the best chance to have these wild intelligent creatures eating from your hand.I have other kinds of feeders now but I will always supplement with these. I now have a yard buzzing with Hummers. I had no idea this would be such a big part of my daily life but I am never tired of being a Hummer voyeur!! Enjoy❤️

I was looking for something I could use to try and encourage the hummingbirds to sit on my hand and these are perfect! The suction cups worked after I dipped them into water then applied them to the clean window glass. The little birds started feeding from them almost right away and when I’m sitting on the porch I can easily remove one to hold.Edited to add: in the package there was a card stating if I left a review with a photo I would receive a free product. I followed the instructions after having contacted the seller on FB per the card. Seller responded to me right up until I left this review then I’ve not heard from her since in spite of several attempts. No free product. I wrote an honest review of the product and do still like it a lot. However the sketchy cations of the seller since has soured my feelings. Just be aware.

The media could not be loaded.  These are fantastic! My only complaint is that I have to fill them frequently. But SO worth it! I bought a cheap generic ketchup type bottle to make filing easy. Within two days I had them eating out of my hands. They stick well. Not sure what the little balls are for but the hummers seem to be ok with them there.

You'll need patience, and perhaps to set up a program of putting them out on a ledge for a while first to get them used to it. As a standalone feeder, mounted using the suction cup device, I never got a single customer. Ants can be a problem with this design too, so best as a way to try to coax them to feed out of your hand. Good luck to you. I've seen it done on YouTube with bottle caps and this would be better and less messy than that approach. I haven't had any luck yet.

I have seen videos of people feeding hummingbirds from their hand and thought it would be so much fun to try. On a birding forum someone recommended these little feeders. It is winter time so most of the hummingbirds have moved down to Mexico and South America, thus I might have to wait a couple months before I can see how effective the feeders are. The quality seems to be really good. The feeders are a nice bright red and yellow, so I am not sure you need to use the included ball and wire. The suction cups stick really well (if you wet them a little). I change my sugar water out every other day, so the small size is perfect for me. Price was reasonable, I am happy with them.

The media could not be loaded.  I would have given an extra star however I never got the cleaning tools with this like it says it is supposed to come with. The "bead" also doesn't stay on well so I had to fold the bottom of the wire up to shove in the hole so it would stop falling off. It did fall off my window one time but I may not have placed it securely enough. Other than the things I mentioned this does what it says it is supposed to.

Followed the directions and used a hair dryer to prepare the suction cups, they didn't look incredibly promising shape-wise but after putting up and taking down once a week (for over a month) I have had none fall! The one on our front door window has stayed up even with all the opening and closing, that was a surprise! They are easy to clean and have attracted so many beautiful hummingbirds.The balls attached to the bottom are not very secure, but I'm not convinced they are real game changers for the birds!

The suction cups are great to attach to the stationary panel of my glass sliding door. This way we get a great view of these little birds from the comfort of our living room! I do recommend having a few of these feeders placed at different levels on your door or windows.
