Classic Double Walled Teapot, 1.2-Liter, Stainless Steel Glossy Finish with Black Accents

Double walled tea pots are hardly availabel in the Northern Americas, so I was very please when I found this one on Amazon. Bredemeijer is an old Dutch brand which is known for excellent long-lasting quality. The price of US$ 65 for an authentic Bredemeijer teapot is not overpriced at all! Great buy, a must have for any tea addict.

Personally I think this tea pot is over priced BUT it's so darn hard to find a thermal tea pot this size, I bought it anyhow! As long as you don't pour it too fast when it's full, it doesn't spill a drop. Keeps tea warm as long as can be expected, very pleased.

I have had this tea pot for 5 years now and still think it is absolutely fantastic. First let me say that LMN used the pot incorrectly: this is NOT a kettle to put on the stove. This is a pot, not a kettle, so you have to first boil the water and then pour that into the pot along with a teabag. The quality is outstanding, and for me definitely worth the cost. Note that I am a big tea lover and drink about two pots daily, and have used many different brands and sizes pots. For me, the fastest way to enjoy hot tea for the longest time, is to boil water in an electric kettle and then pour it into this pot. I can enjoy my earl grey all through the morning. The only down point I found with this pot is that the lid, once put back on top, takes a hard pull to take it off again. This is to ensure safety (the lid not falling off when pouring) so I am okay with it, but it means that if you have put it on while the teabag is brewing, it is a little tough to get it off again to get the teabag out without touching the hot lid (just pulling by the plastic knob may not do the job). My solution to this: after you've poured the water in and the teabag, put the lid on but don't push it all the way down. Let it sit there until you're ready to take the bag out, and after doing that, put it on all the way.

This is one of my worst purchases I’ve made in a very long time. The quality of construction is very poor, and despite its claims to be "Double Walled", it's has the thinnest walls of any teapot I have ever seen. On my gas stove, when using even the smallest burner so the flames would stay underneath it, the handle got so hot I had to use a hot-pad to grab it. The handle also came loose at the bottom, and was barely staying attached by the upper part of the handle on top, and this was after less than a dozen uses. The teapot really qualifies as a piece of cr@p, and I just threw it away because I mistakenly waited too long to return it. Lastly, after using this tiny, flimsy thing, and watching it fall apart before my eyes, I'm hoping to warn anyone thinking of wasting money on it - this product is so bad, even if it were sold for $10, it would be $10 overpriced.

Heel belangrijk bij een theepot is dat deze niet lekt. Dat werkt bij deze.

Das ist nicht meine erste Kanne dieses niederländischen Herstellers, der gute Qualität nicht nur verspricht. Sondern sie auch hält! Die Kanne ist sehr hochwertig doppelwandig verarbeitet und sogar spülmaschinenfest - wer es denn unbedingt ausprobieren möchte. Sie ist praktisch geschmacksneutral und hält ihren Inhalt einen knappen halben Vormittag lang trinkwarm. Nach geraumer Zeit erhält sie eine schöne Patina wie keramische oder andere Teekannen. Ich spüle sie vor dem Befüllen mit Teewasser immer einmal kurz mit heißem Wasser aus. Das verbessert die Wärmeleistung.
