The item itself is great. As described. Very pretty, actually and zero complaints in regard to size. However, if you’re buying these for your pond…. To scare away predatory birds…. well, just take a look at my pond ten minutes after I added two sets of these gazing balls. The Great Blue Heron you see in the photo is not a decoy. It’s Harry, our real live heron who we CANNOT get to leave. Chicken wire, hardware cloth, heron decoys, owl decoys, gazing balls, spikes. He will not leave. Fortunately he cannot get to our fish. Nothing works on this bird. Even our Great Pyrenees is terrified of Harry. The gazing balls are very pretty, though!

A heron had eaten most of our pond goldfish! We were desperate to try something to prevent this from happening again, especially since we wanted to replace with new fish. We first purchased one set of these, and realized the balls did not give enough coverage in our small pond, which is approximately 6x6 feet, so we immediately purchased two more sets . Ever since using these balls, we have not had a heron ! We believe other predictors may have been ward off as well because we've noticed how calm and unstressed our fish have become. They used to be hiding when we approached, but now they come right over when we feed them. The balls give a delightful, bubbly, elegant look to the pond, which we really enjoy. The balls are excellent quality, priced well , light weight and but sturdy. They are stainless and do not have any seams. They float around and never sink. We are very pleased and highly recommend this product.

The old people I share a porch with had a "party" and one of them knocked over my wizard with their walker (not joking) and broke his gazing ball. Been looking for an inexpensive replacement forever. Was not going to pay more for 1 ball than I paid for the whole thing!! These worked PERFECT!! The 2nd largest size is the one in the picture, it is NOT brown like it looks in the picture, that's just the way it looks because of the surrounding area These are bright and shiny with a mirror finish. They are lightweight but sturdy and would float. The seam is visible BUT only if you're actually looking for it, if they're just sitting there you would never notice the seams. Same with any scratches from polishing, if you look really close, you may see some minute scratches but again, you need to be looking for them as they aren't visible or glaring. All in all I'm very impressed and for the price, I now have 5 other balls, (1 large, 2 tiny and 2 of the 2nd smallest) to do something with. Definitely recommend!

As a casual decoration or tchocky these fit the bill. Don't gaze too long or you will notice that they aren't very well polished (lots of scuff marks), that they are not very round, and that they have a visible seem where two hemispheres were joined. I have bought some glass crystal balls for the same price and they were very round and very well polished.

I use these to decorate planters that are bare at the base, makes the whole planter look more finished and intentional.

As you can see in the photo these balls look great on the lawn. They look like about the size of a basketball the biggest one which is only one. The photo of the smaller balls is what I received. The biggest one was possibly the size of a child's basketball it is sitting on something that raises it up just so I can see it better the smaller ones were smaller than a tennis ball as you can see when you lay them on the grass and this is fresh cut grass they practically disappear. I am completely disappointed in the way these were advertised. I normally have good experiences with Amazon but this is a game changer anyone can see this does not look like what their advertising.

These balls were so small I was very disappointed, false advertising , but good for decor!

Having read the reviews - and having priced *single* gazing balls over the years - these exceeded my expectations. A few balls have a very slight ‘equator’ line that you have to hold up and inspect to find. Only one has a flaw: a glob of flattened metal that doesn’t bother me at all. Not like a dent or scratch would have. Glob reminds me of something you’d find in a blown art glass object. (And they ARE metal, *not plastic.* Cheap fridge magnet wouldn’t stick, but neodymium does.) I have OCD tendencies and could not display them on my coffee table with obvious, visible flaws - where my eye would constantly go to. Like a crooked painting or a nagging hang-nail. :) I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend these, to buy again or to give to friends. (Removed from crinkly, plastic bags & wrapped in pretty, spring tissue paper & gift bag. So inexpensive! I already have a girlfriend in mind who will love these!!!) - - - - - - ^..^ = ELATION!!! Followed by confusion... and extreme disappointment at finding all 6 “defective.” And *STILL* sitting, immobile, on the coffee table. Evil fakery! ;)

Oh these are fabulous and gave certainly got people looking and talking. Only have a small front area of gravel and a couple of paving stones so decided to do a zen garden. Got everything in picture from Amazon but these glazing balls I think set off end result. A great unusual purchase.
