ASURION 4 Year Home Improvement Protection Plan ($100 - $124.99)

I submitted one claim and it was a most stressful and complex procedure with multiple back and forth emails and phone calls. When I complained I was told that since I now know the painful and complex procedure, my next claim will be easier. Continuing with easier matters.....My most recent unpleasant experience was trying to register a computer bought from Sam's. Sam's is not listed as one of their selectable retailers, so there is no way to register my computer. At this point I have no way of knowing how to register.

You buy this because of the peace of mind and when you end up needing it, you are sent to dead links on websites, no phone number to call to resolve and issue, and a poorly constructed AI chat bot. This is a complete waste of money and nothing more.

Trust me on this one you all. You would be wise to take the money you would have to pay for ANY of Asurion's Protection Scams and set it aside. Once you are in need of a repair take that money and have it fixed through the original company. The majority of these companies will work on a fair deal to please both parties, often at little or no cost. Asurion is nothing but a third party scam plain and simple. Amazon has always been great and I have appreciated them over the years. You have a problem and Amazon always takes care of it. This has not been the case when I have worked with Asurion on two separate occasions. If you must find out for yourself go ahead and take the risk, but please read Asurion's "fine print". If you value your time and want to save yourself a headache pass on ALL Asurion's Protection Scams. If you have already purchased several of Asurion's Protection Scams like I had you can return them through Amazon and they will gladly refund your money! Thanks Amazon for always working hard to take care of your customers. Asurion might want to take a lesson or two from Amazon regarding honesty and customer service. Never have I been lied to so much by a company's customer service, let alone mocked after treating the agent with dignity and respect. If Amazon offers their own Insurance Protection Plans I am all in. However, that will be the last time I fall for a third party "protection plan".

Please make sure you read the fine print. I was disappointed when I found out the "plan" for certain items. I wouldn't have paid that much extra....shooooot!

Snuck this purchase in on me when I bought something. Luckily I was able cancel in time. Still sneaky, I don't like sneaky.

I will say I was pleasantly surprised at how smoothly my reimbursement went. I had bought the warranty for my Air-Impact Gun that I bought for work. It's a tool I use every day. The gun stopped working after a year and a half, so I put in a claim. I was given a return shipment tag and told to rebox the item and send it back. I dropped off the tool at a local UPS pick-up box and noticed that the pickup time was 5:30 pm... Within a few hours of the UPS pick-up, I had an Amazon gift card for the purchase amount of the gun. So, speaking for my personal experience, Asurion exceeded my expectations! Thanks!

Only get if your item doesn't have a good warranty because they give you a hard time

Great to have for electronics and tools. Only one time had to make use of a warranty like this many years ago through a store when device pooped out, but made my life easy to transition into something new. Plus keep in mind for some, the extended warranties are how the sales people actually make money for a living instead of just the storefront and manufacture.
