TYMO Ring Hair Straightener Brush, 2-in-1 Straightening Brush & Hot Comb

This is a solid and good quality hair straightener. The color is as it appears. It's also the perfect size for me. I used this twice and did not have nearly the amount of damage I had while using a flat iron all these years. My hair was basically back to normal versus using the flat iron, which would leave my hair crispy for days, even after using my preheat spray. It took a little bit to get used to using. I had to make sure there were no knots in my hair, so I brushed it really well. Then, I used my preheat spray. Once I did that, I used this on small sections on my hair. I used the first 3rd dot setting, which did the job, but to get it pin straight. Then I used the 4th dot afterwards. I have hair that is dyed, kind of thin, and wavy. Still, my hair was smooth as shiny afterward. As long as I brush and use a small enough section, not too thick, it was easy to use. I alsonhave to make sure to clean out rhe bristles after each pass so the next batch doesn't get stuck on the bristles. I think I can use this way more often than my flat straightener. The hair doesn't stay straightened for as long as aftwe using a flat iron, but I'm ok with it because I would rather have less damaged hair. I'm very happy with this hair straightener.

It’s a lot easier to use than regular flat iron. My hair looks so smooth. I can also curl my hair with it.

There are a few pros and cons to this tool but overall initially what I thought were total cons I’ve come around to. I have really thick coarse wavy hair - Pros: it definitely cuts down on straightening time. Because you can have slightly larger sections since the heat is moving THROUGH all the strands unlike on top like a regular iron, it goes faster. It also is easier on my hands, I felt like my hand would always cramp up using a regular flat iron from squeezing it constantly. It heats up quickly and I also like how it has a guard on it to help prevent burning yourself. It also does work pretty well. It might be because of my hair texture so it wasn’t necessarily always a “one pass” for me, but it worked pretty comparably well to my nice traditional flat iron. Cons (that are sort of also pros?): you should definitely put on the glove, because this doesn’t have a clamp it can be hard to get your ends well. But I don’t mind this too much, it leaves the ends slightly upturned or under turned and it makes for a more “naturally straight” look. So if you’re looking for completely pin straight, it’s probably not for you. My hair is still really straight, but not like stick straight and I’m okay with that. I’d also say you want to still do sections (I wouldn’t recommend just using it like a brush, you’ll need to section like with a normal iron) because hair can get stuck if you don’t brush through or make your sections too big. BUT I did find I could definitely do bigger sections than with a traditional iron. Overall I’m really happy with this. Initially I was annoyed I couldn’t get my ends well but I don’t actually mind anymore and think it looks better than with a regular iron. Also because it takes me less time, it makes straightening my hair instead of twisting it up into a bun every day way more sustainable. There’s a reason these have gone viral!

I got this because I was tired of combing out my hair and wanted something that could give me a "silk press". First photo shows my hair before using it and 2nd photo is after I used it. It took a while but it definitely got through some knots because I didn't even blow dry my hair properly before use. It gets hot really fast and is able to straighten out any curls. While using it, I kept accidentally pressing the power button cos its located right by the grip so you have to watch out for that as it could just cool and you wouldnt notice. Its really easy to use and definitely gives you the length you need. Gets your hair smooth and silky. I like thag it comes with hair clips and a glove to protect the palms from heat. Highly recommend.

I love this item so much I never thought I'd be able to have curly hair myself without having to go to the salon, it's a decent price, works great and is very easy to use.

I think I was sent a used one. It had scuffs and some weird stuck on residue on it right above the handle. It straightens decent enough but its awkward to do passes through hair because cannot just do the motion of like using it like a brush or comb as it doesn’t grab the hair. I have to section hair out and hold the ends of each section sorry kind of hard to explain. My hair is what I would call medium wavy and not super thick. Hope this helps someone.

I am Latin, dark hair, wavy almost curly, a lot of quantity! And I am 39 weeks pregnant so I was looking like crazy for a hair tool fast and easy to use and that leaves my hair totally straight. I saw a video of the Tymo and I loved the reviews so I ordered and is better than the reviews. The best thing I have ever tried. Cheap but very good quality, leaves the hair looking healthy, the fastest one I have ever tried, just perfect. If you see too much smoke is because you have conditioner or a product in your hair you are not washing good because I didn’t see any smoke and I put the max temperature. And just that. Go get it. it didn't really meet my expectations but obviously it won't be leaving your hair pin straight like an iron but it really is the best it does the job well and I thought it won't survive sweat and heat but it did survive hair do become wavvy but not frizzy even after I went to the gym it was the same just a little wavvy I used it on night it arrived and next day it was still the same even after the gym for two days my hair was the same it only became curly and frizzy when my hair got wet with water it went back to normal but definitely I was impressed by the way it stayed the same after sweating till today it's same only the ends that touched water is curly but I'd say the key to keep it that way would definitely be to keep straightening your hair 5 to 6 times on one side doing it again and again definitely helps and gives a good look to the hair and straightens the hair like an iron so the key would be to keep doing it till you are satisfied with the look

I bought this for my daughter and I’m actually very impressed with it. She has smooth/shiny, yet wavy/frizzy hair, if that makes any sense. This product really does straighten the hair beautifully and easily. You can’t really treat it like a hair brush.. it kinda takes two hands to get the hair deep into the teeth of the brush. I hoped she could do it completely on her own, but I do have help her in some spots.. at least until she really figures it out. But I think the end result is much prettier than one of those heat brush things. It’s more like using a flat iron. Love it!
