ReferenceReady Nautical Knot Tying Kit for Boaters and Sailors

This little guy definitely helps if you’re a beginner like myself with nautical knots. I mounted it to my wooden patio table and sat there and practiced. The cleat seems pretty heavy duty and the information cards give good instructions.

I didn't pay attention to the size of the item. In my mind I pictured actual rope-sized. These are just shoestring sized. They're fine and get the lesson of tying the knots across.

Good idea but the tie-off hitch is smaller than I expected (about 5 inches long) and the rope is thinner than I expected, toy-like. Bought it for my 9 yo grandson so maybe his hands are small enough that the size won’t matter. The cards are nice and might be handy. I was expecting a bit more for the price.

Should have a read the reviews. While the cards are useful, the "ropes" and the hitch are toys. We are talking about $10 item at most. This is a Poor quality item and you cannot really practice much with it.

Very easy to use and high quality reference cards. Helped me learn knots for my first sailing course.

Waste of money. Don’t even bother buying this. You’re better off with old pieces of line or rope from a hardware store and YouTube videos. The gauge of the strings is so small that when you picknup a real line, there is no relationship whatsoever. The instructions are also hard to follow and the print so small that it’s not even worth having these tiny cards for reference. Don’t waste your money.

Super helpful to have a small cleat to practice with. I affixed mine to a piece of cardboard.

This tiny set is just what we needed for practicing boating knots. We nailed the cleat to small board for stability. Two different colored lines and knot instruction booklet made learning easy.

I work with yachts, and I would not recommend this for learning.

This was a gift to a boy who is interested in learning to sail.

Defiinatley overpriced for what it is

This kit is very expensive for the small plastic kleat and string that you receive. The instruction card could also be better. I would look elsewhere
