Great Value
It looks good. I was adding this to a vehicle that didn’t have an area to mount these so I had to build some brackets, which I did with angle iron and a little welding. It definitely adds a lot and it pretty sturdy. Mine had a ding or 2 here and there, and the paint is a little soft but not noticeable. Assembly of the actual product was pretty easy, though I didn’t use all the mounting parts

Works for me
I wanted an inexpensive roof basket for my old Element to take on an upcoming trip and this fit the bill so I gave it 5 stars. It came well packaged with only a single scratch and assembled easily enough. As in the listing pictures the clamps are meant for the front and rear sections. They don't fit spacing on the middle two sections. I think it would have been a perfect fit if I had only used one middle section but I wanted to use both of them. It resulted in a cattywampus clamp fit, as another reviewer noted, which I wasn't comfortable with so I added some U clamps which is probably overkill but seems safer to me. Overall I'm happy with it given that it's a universal fit product so I expected some issues.

Ok for the price
This isn't the best rack out there by a long shot. The tubing looks a bit on the flimsy side with sheet thickness seeming a bit thin. In fact one of the tubes was dented at end with no apparent damage to the box, so I'll have to blame quality control on this, not handling. I was able to unwarp the tube-end enough to be able to connect it to the other tube as "instructed". The instructions were actually trash, but I'm my engineer mind was able to figure it out pretty easy. As other reviewers have stated, the "twist" nut that was include was not the correct thread. The U-bolt is a M6 (metric) and the nut was a 1/4" (SAE). I got a set of M6 wingnuts from Home Depot and it mated just fine. SELLER, PLEASE CORRECT THIS, IT'S AN UNNECESSARY EXTRA EXPENSE FOR US. The U-bolt was also about 1/4-1/2in too long on each side and would gouge anything laid on top of them. I cut about 1/4 off to be sure, which took a bit of time with Dremel rotary tool. This would certainly depend on the thickness of your crossbar. If you have thicker crossbars, this may not be necessary. Others have complained about rusting, I haven't seen it yet after a week of use that include the rack being rained occasionally over two days. So far I haven't seen any rust at the joints. It's now hanging on my garage wall so we'll see if it develops over time. I may spray some Rustoleum at the joints at some point to prevent this when I have time. The rack did survive the trip full of cargo with no issues and looked fine when I finally took it off the car roof. So for the money I guess I can't complain, though I would have gladly paid a bit more for a better product if it would have been shipped to me on time for my weekend camping trip. The shipping for this rack was surprisingly quick. Got it drop shipped from the seller two day earlier than Amazon's ETA.

Quality control issue.
Easy to put together until I found the bend tube. It’s a quality control issue and they painted it that way and put protective rubber caps on.

Don't buy....
It had a couple of bent connections that I had to fix. Instructions weren't clear. Had to really examine the picture to figure it out. The wing nut that tightens the rack down has bolts that protrude up. So if you were to slide something in, it will scratch, gouge, or tear it. Imagine if you had a board and took the time to screw 4 bolts through it, then turn it over. Would you want to put something on top if those 4 bolts stabbing through? But what really annoyed me is that it immediately rusted. All over my vehicle. Incidentally, because I'm older and now wiser, I don't trust things. So before assembly, I spray painted it with 2 cans of flat black rustoleum paint. Then, I sprayed it with 2 cans of black flex seal. I figured it would be getting wet, in the sun, so I wanted to overkill protect it. Unfortunately because I was spraying black on black, it was hard to make sure I got every inch. Anyways it appears to be rusting at the connections. So even with my preventive measures, it is dripping wet rust water all over. Just look at the pictures. This is after 2 weeks of it mounted on my vehicle, and it has rained a few times.

*AVOID THIS RACK* Damaged on arrival. Poor construction overall.
My roof basket was damaged upon arrival. The mating sections are bent out of shape, preventing assembly and installation from being possible. There should be no fixing or modifications necessary for a brand new item. The overall construction of the rack is poor. The metal is very thin. It is held together with small tack welds, and has many areas for water to get in. These racks are also known to rust internally like crazy, and leak rusty water all over your vehicle. These would probably completely rust out in a few short years. A decent quality basket should last for many years and perhaps decades or more with maintenance. This may look similar to Yakima or Curt baskets, but do not be fooled. It is no where near the build quality, and quite a bit smaller in many ways. It's not actually 67" long either. If you live in Canada, I highly suggest just getting the princess auto roof basket along with an extension. It is better in every way, larger, and nearly the same price when it's on sale. I thought this basket was essentially the same as the princess auto one, but it is paltry in comparison. Another thing to note is that there are no extensions available to purchase for this basket. There are similar extensions on Amazon and other places. They look close but they are in no way compatible.

You get what you pay for
Giving 4 stars because for $150 it is a great product, feels really sturdy. The main issue is the bars all have holes in the tops because it wasn’t welded all the way around, no wonder all the reviews complaining about rust. I spent about an hour going around the whole thing and filling each hole with clear silicone RTV and wiping off the excess. I would also recommend giving the whole thing a thick coat of clear coat as the finish is thin and scratches easily. Over all a good buy for the price and if you invest some time you may be able to prevent some of the issues other people have stated.

Look incroyable
