Man, i was really hesitate buying this jug. But so happy I did. I bought 3-4 other jugs that costed 30-40 dollars in the 3 years of working outside each one has failed me one way or another. - the handle breaks - its hard to clean/fill with water and ice because of the small opening - or it just does not keep the water cold. realizing i spent the same amount in 3-4 jugs i bite the bullet and bought this Yeti 1 gallon jug. Oh my goodness. its worth every cent and hate myself for not buying it years ago. PROS - The handle is made of metal and it super sturdy and comfortable to carry - The wide opening making filling it a breeze, I don't have to hand feed broken up ice cubes - the top is super thick and the top is easy to use with gloves on( plus its magnetic) -dishwasher friendly! CONS -sometimes the lid gets really on there and needs some elbow grease to twist it off. I work in florida and leave this jug in the back of the truck in direct sun and heat for 8-10 hours a day and never once had warm water.

It works great. I use it at work and the gym. The capacity works great for people who don’t have access to water for extended periods of time. Keeps things so cold the ice turns to one chunk. Plenty of room for stickers.

Absolutely love this thing. The magnetic cap holder is ridiculously strong. Water stays cold many days. I have toyed around with the amount of ice; 35 cubes will melt into your water making your water about 36 degrees and will hold it there all day. If you want multiple days, or want ice to stay in there put 60 cubes or more. People mention theirs leak?? Never a problem with mine. Just be careful never to force the lid, it does cross thread easily. Also you don’t need to overtighten. The people at Yeti have OCD and the handle screws will line up with the logos at the bottom when tightened properly, every time. Do this and you’ll never have any leakage. I got the orange one, the color is amazing. The paint stays on through some minor bumps and scrapes but I like to protect mine with stickers. Even if you do lose some paint the bottle is stainless beneath and will never rust. I’ve had a scrape on another yeti for years and it’s just shiny silver. Lastly it’s a big large to fit in a lot of places however with just a little creativity you’ll find ways to safely transport it and you’ll be thrilled every time you tip it back into your mouth.

Great insulation, can keep water cold for up to a week, but won’t recommend if you don’t have strong arms, I am 230lbs and sometimes I have trouble opening the lid.

So live in the desert in Southern California. It is 110 degrees as I am writing this review. I purchased this jug because I had to see what all this Yeti hype was about. Typically I would use the jugs that come as a combo with an Igloo ice chest cause I'm a cheapskate and did not want to throw the jug away. I have been thru many. Most would break from the handle and would replace them with another. After running out of jugs and seeing this metal handle I kinda got a little stiffy 😆. So I purchased it after drinking some alcohol to justify that I had saved enough over the years to get this one. Boy was I wrong. I deserved this jug a long time ago! The metal handle ended up being an extra feature along with the magnetic cap. My f'n water stays cold till I finish it at the end of the day. It sits in the van that can get over145 degrees, for over 12 hours and the last drop is cold! ❄️ something I have never experienced with any other jug. Previous jugs would take filling it up completely with ice (getting my family mad I would take all the ice in the morning) and then filling it with water for it to be warm at the end of the day. Now this one I fill it from a quarter to a third and it keeps cool all day. I can't tell you if it keeps cold longer like into the next day because I always finish it.

Still solid after about a year of hard use. Bright and hard to loose I wouldn’t recommend for hikes as it weighs a ton. But if you work outside in hot weather it’s amazing. Keeps Ice for at least two days in direct sun.

Compre este “termo” con la finalidad de llevármelo al trabajo y no ocupar estar rellenando mi otro Yeti de un litro , cumpliendo ampliamente el objetivo para lo que lo compre , el agua fría me dura desde las 7 Am en el gimnasio hasta las 9 pm que salgo de trabajar, en carretera y con temperaturas altas dejándolo en el carro sigue conservando perfectamente el agua fría, aún no he tenido la oportunidad de probarlo con bebidas calientes en algún campamento, pero no tengo duda que cumplirá ampliamente las expectativas

First off, this thing is huge! For comparison, next to it in the picture is a 32oz and 12oz Yeti Rambler! Its also heavy.. or I guess sturdy would be a more appropriate term. Could probably use it as a jack-stand under my truck! hahaha Secondly, to speak about its ability to keep fluids cold, this arrived on a friday and after a wash I filled it 50/50 ice/water and just left it on the counter. 5 days later there was still a significant amount of ice left, probably woulda been good for a week. if you are on the fence about buying one of these, do it!

It came on time color matched picture. Also came in perfect condition. This is exactly what i asked for and needed thank you very much. Ps. I like the yeti sticker it came with.

If you travel a lot with your car, this jug is perfect for you. It stores almost 4 liters of water for 2 days without changing its temperature. But I recommend securing it always in the car because it weighs around 6 kg when filled, and can be dangerous when driving.
