Brilliance by Vanity Fair Women's Invisible Edge Smoothing Slip Short 12385

I purchased these slip sorts to wear under sundresses. They are smoothing without feeling like control shaper underwear. If you are looking for tummy control, these are meant for you. If you're looking for a silky feeling and your body feeling a bit contained, these are for you. There is not a cotton crotch if that is a concern for you. My purpose to wear these is for "sundress events" and they will not be on more than 4-6 hours. One really disappointing note: the vendor didn't ship two of the same color! Alert on that note. I decided to keep the color I didn't want, however, I really was tempted to send the one back. I'll be writing a seller review and will give them 1 start for that error.

I am usually a women’s XS and I bought a small. They are wayyy too small. Although now I am motivated to lose weight. If they did fit, I would give 5 stars. I think only an 8 year old child could fit in this pair!

I was so happy to stumble across these on Amazon! I bought a few pair a year ago at Kohls. I went to get more a few months later and Kohl's no longer carried them. I love these because they're not shapers, but they're smoothing. I like wearing them with slacks so I don't get a wedgie throughout the day. Makes my day more comfortable.

Perfect for preventing chafing.

There’s a lot to love about these especially when you slip that body con dress on. I only wear Vanity Fair underwear and have for over thirty years, their bikini panties are awesome! I have a couple dresses that are a little form fitting especially around the rear and these slip shorts made the dress look a thousand times more flattering. The sizing is the same as their bikini panties. I wear a large, I am 5’9” 159 lbs, small waist and a little rounded in the rear, athletic build for reference. These fit snug and hold everything in without being tortured and they surprisingly didn’t move all day, no creeping up the legs at all, very happy about that because that’s a first. The only thing that I would like to see improvement on is the diamond shaped crotch panel that’s stitched in over the crotch area. It is cotton which is great but it’s too thin and small, I can feel the ridge of seam behind it and after a full day of wear it can get a little bit irritating down there, not horrible but it could be a bigger thicker crotch panel. Also, they can get really hot in the summer heat. I did greatly appreciate that there were no tags on these at all though, all the brand and the info is printed inside, wish everyone would do that. All in all I love these for that occasion when you need to wear a fitted skirt or dress and you don’t want to see any lines these are wonderful and they really stay put, I didn’t tug once all day!

This Vanity Fair slip short is my favorite style undergarment especially for dresses and skirts as I don’t like hose, and these give me a smooth look without any panty lines. These stay in place well and also prevent dreaded thigh rub in the heat. These are form fitting, but they aren’t shapewear and aren’t thick and super tight feeling like shapewear. The fabric is thinner but does have that synthetic spandex feel of shapewear and doesn’t breath well for me. These appear to have an attached cotton crotch, but I can’t be sure it’s cotton as the garment is labeled 77% nylon and 23% spandex.The fit of this slip short isn’t quite right for me as the rise seems short. I’m tall at 5’11” so that may be why the fit is off, but I don’t usually have fit issues with undergarments. Perhaps these run a bit small as I usually wear a size L in a similar slip short (but will go to an XL when I can’t find L), yet I have to tug on these a bit to get them high enough to be comfortable. Also, I wouldn’t wear these in situations where someone might see them on me as these look really unattractive on me. The smooth line looks good under my clothes, but the fit and fabric aren’t as comfortable as I would like. 3 stars.Update 4/12/19: I’ve now received a pair in size L too. They are so small I can’t even pull them up, yet most of my slip shorts and undies are size L (though different brands). So I believe these run small and also lack the stretch needed to fit a wider range of body types.

These briefs/shorts make for a line-free silhouette under tight clothing. They are comfortable and stay in place well. Especially good if you are wearing white pants that tend to be sheer.

These are almost perfect -- great fit, really smooth yet firm fabric, good hold without being too tight, and nice smooth leg that blends perfectly without any kind of seam that's visible under clothes. But the loosely sewn in crotch gusset bothers me. It's made of a soft, absorbent fabric (cotton?) but it's not fully attached and it's kind of skimpy. If you use any kind of pads, forget it. Worse, it sometimes bunches a little, with all the discomfort you'd expect. A rare miss from Vanity Fair.

These are silky undershorts. They are comfortable, fit true to size and prevent chafing of the inner thighs. They work well under shorts and provide discreet cover from shorts with loose legs. They wash really quickly by hand and dry quickly. They aren’t support wear which us why they are do comfortable

the item is great, fits comfortable but be aware that they run small. Example I am usually a M in pants and undies and I had to get an XL to fit me properly. They do not slim you down the fit comfortable to protect the thighs.

They fit. But we're not comfortable. Squeezing more than I wanted.

Ahh I love these shorts! They blend into my skin, they're soft and breathable, and most importantly: they don't roll up!They don't give you any kind of control top or contouring... but they are seamless under dresses, and prevent my thighs from chafing. Plus - they're cheap! :)
