They fit nicely, 3” it’s plastic just like what we had. Easy install, does the job. I did add screen under the flaps, so no bugs can get in or critters

Good vent for the dryer. Keeps bugs and rodents out.

Fits perfectly into the 3” exhaust tubing.

My dryer vent cover was broken and needed a replacement. I bought one at the local hardware store but it was too big and this one was great!

I don't know why the Big Box stores don't carry a 3" louvered vent cap, but at least this one was available and arrived quickly It's made well enough (just as well as the equivalent 4" one that the Big Box stores do carry) and fit just fine.My issue was with the mounting holes and the lack of standoff around them. My house has a brick veneer so I was using Tapcon screws (the smallest and shortest available) and still I could not use a hex driver once the heads were close to the base -- the profile of the cap simply pushed the driver off of the screw. Using a slotted screwdriver was not viable due to the torque required, as it kept jumping out of the slot and scarring up the cap's finish. The Big Box store's brand in the 4" version, which I used for an adjacent dryer vent, had plenty of space around the holes to accommodate a hex driver. That's simply good design. So if you have brick, try the phillips head version of the Tapcon rather than the hex head, and things might turn out better for you.

I am using it as the exterior vent for my powder room fan. The 3" vent seems to be rare. It fits well. I needed 4 screws to attach it to the house and caulked it in. It is thin plastic but does the job.
