Baker's Imitation Vanilla Extract (New Version)

I have been baking with Baker's Imitation Vanilla for a few years. In baked goods, the flavor is the same as any good vanilla, and much less expensive.

Have a grandchild with tree nut allergy. Cannot have true vanilla. This is very good.

For my fancy-schmancy pastry creams and baking I tend to use vanilla bean paste because it’s incredibly yummy and imparts the best flavor *and* the seeds.But if I’m doing simple stuff that doesn’t require me to pull out all the stops, this is my go-to vanilla. Yes, it’s “imitation,” but it actually tastes better than some of the “pure” vanillas out there. The flavor is fine, the price is low, and it doesn't use grain alcohol (ethanol). That's an important health consideration for me, as alcohol doesn't always evaporate from some food items. It's also important to anyone who can't or won't take alcohol. (I'm fairly certain that this product is halal, if you're cooking for any Muslim friends.)

I would have always stuck to Real. But when I saw a video on YouTube, this came out best. I tried and there's no reason to by the expensive stuff and definitely no reason to make your own.

Vanilla taste good
