Handy item!
Not a bad little device tbh, although some what awkward to use if you want to use the hands and knee/ankle function if your out and about but you could just use the single hands function, however i think its prone to interference( to close to wires or computer etc) if its at all noisy in or out including if its windy out which is when i need to use it sometimes as that is when i get symptoms that i need to monitor. i think its a great device and easy to use plus it does give quite a detailed ecg reading although i think it will give you a brief version of the results unless you pay for the a 12 month plan which includes 4 yes only 4 readings per 12 month as I read it OR you pay for individual readings ยฃ5 each as and when you require them which is what i have done but not always necessary as it does give you some results like "possible atrial fibrillation" so no need to send your report off but its probably an idea to contact your doctor or indeed hospital if you feel the need , i do believe its fairly accurate and i have seen data online to say it is also although the the medical field probably wont take the devices info over theres as i found out but i still argued my case with it and im glad i did as it has indicated a number of issues i have AF, Bradycardia and heart rate below 35 bpm, it will register things like unclassified or unreadable which i believe is just because it falls outside there parameters but you still get the ecg and can save it which i have done as those are the ones with the greatest heart faults on. its also got a function that you can add your own notes and symptoms to a recording bp etc plus choose other items from a list, i had looked at watches and sent one back before getting this device as it was useless tbh and totally incorrect, would i recommend this item ....simply yes i would for the money ยฃ150 for the 6 line one, my doctor recommended it to me and i have emailed the data over to them. It is CE approved on the item, i dont go anywhere without this item now im very pleased with it.

Worth Every Penny
Amazing piece of kit. Worth every penny and recognised by the hospital. You won't be disappointed.

Great product and original
After seeing my NHS GP use this, I bought one and I am more than happy, and am still in the land of the living. Linked with a blood pressure monitor and a thermometer, you can check your own Ps&Ts in much the same way as your mechanic checks your car.

Buy the 1L
This is a good piece of kit. Used in 1L mode it returns results clearly and gave me the all-clear.. I had difficulty connecting my 6L until I read the troubleshooting tip to wet your knee. It then worked perfectly. The problem with the item is that the data returned by 6L is only useful to a trained clinician. Furthermore, the read out does not even give an overview of the full results just the 1L. I feel this is very much geared to the US market where I guess a doctor would be happy to take a download of the results. I can't imagine a UK GP being prepared to do so. My suggestion would be to buy the much cheaper 1L version and let your GP sort out the rest if you have concerns.

Absolutely delighted with the Kardia 6L
I've always thought I had an irregular heartbeat but anytime I had an ecg it came up normal. In December 2020 and January 2021 I started to struggle when exercising, suddenly I could only run half the distance that I previously run. I had no energy. On a few occasions at night I had to breathe deeply because I felt out of breath. I was also feeling dizzy when standing up. I went to the Dr's and for the first time an ecg flagged up that I had 'atrial fibrillation'. I was referred to a cardiologist and whilst awaiting a phone consultation I had an episode that started on a Sunday night. I was due to have a 24hr ecg monitor the following Friday, and when on Tuesday I still didn't feel great I decided to buy the Kardia 6L. I thought that by Friday the symptoms might have gone so in order to give the cardiologist a record of the heartbeat I ordered it on Prime and received it on Wednesday. On that day and Thursday it stated that there were signs of AF and I could see it on the chart. On Friday, as suspected, it indicated the episode had ended so the 24 hr monitor probably didn't pick it up (still waiting for the result). I am so glad that I bought this. I had not previously had an episode as serious as this one. It lasted 4 days and it was uncomfortable. I haven't yet had a recurrence of the AF but I test myself every day. I've decided that if it shows AF I won't exercise on that day. I had concerns that it may not work with my phone as it wasn't on the official compatible list, however there was no problem setting it up. My phone is a Huawei P20 Pro. It is easy to save the results and email them to yourself for onward transmission to anyone you want to. When I spoke to the cardiologist he said he'd seen no ecg's yet so I agreed to get my Dr's to send the one they did and I persuaded him to receive the Kardia ones. He was a bit reluctant at first but the following day I got a message back saying that the ones I'd sent him confirmed Paroxysmal AF. He may have got this solely from the Dr's ecg, but I believe he also looked at the Kardia results. I've used it to test my family and its an important piece of equipment for me now. When you research it online there have been a number of studies of the cheaper device that were summarised in an article by NICE. The results were positive and the benefit is obvious - you can capture episodes that an arranged ecg at the Dr's may not. In addition for me I think that sometimes I may have an episode that I'm not conscious about, such as those times that I was struggling to run. Now I can check myself first. I can't comment on the longevity of the device because I've only had it a couple of weeks. I would be very disappointed if the was a problem with it, but so far so good.

Excellent idea let down by poor reliability
I bought this to keep tabs on an arrhythmia I know I have after it being recommended by my cardiologist. These items are now being used by NHS Scotland for similar reasons so thought I was in good stead. First device started disconnecting itself randomly after about 2 weeks and was returned for replacement. Second unit seemed ok and detected an abnormal rhythm (showed as โunclassifiedโ) which my cardiologist instantly put me off work when he saw it and put me through more tests. These have taken over 2 months to complete and all have been negative including an exercise stress test that I exceeded the requirements of. I have been convinced since I took that reading it was a misread but obviously not going to argue with a Cardiologist as he knows much better than I do and he remains adamant it was a clear reading. After about a month this second unit started to show problems, needing about 8 to 10 attempts to get a full 30 second ecg reading usually cutting out during the test stating โInterference detectedโ โelectrical interferenceโ or โconnection interruptedโ. I also tested this by trying to get a reading, having multiple failures then using a friends Apple Watch which read instantly, followed by more failures by the Kardiamobile device. This got so bad that the device has now been returned for a refund and I will go back to my original intention of a smart watch with ECG capability. All in all my experience has been very poor with this device, has ended up in 2 returned units and my being off work for 3 months due to it (self employed so no sick payment either!)

Easy to use device, invaluable for peace of mind for cardiac patients
I just bought the device, as I had a stent put in (angioplasty) and was discharged after have a bout of PVC. So I wanted a device where I could monitor myself for issues when I travelled out of town away from advanced cardiac care. This works as advertised. It shows the battery level and I did 5 readings over 2 days with no degradation. Changing the battery needs a special size screwdriver, or any watch battery change shop can do it. Warranty is 1 year. The peace of mind you get for the price is invaluable.

Quality control could be better
It arrived in a box within the box a sealed package, first thing I noticed when unpacking was scratches on the back electrode. But it seems to work fine. Quality control could be better.

New 6 Lead ECG monitor.
Second version in about 10 years. First (single lead I) was life saving! Had to get new one as original battery flat and new battery did not work when needed! New model has 6 leads. Always regularly check functioning, to make sure of battery life. This is an excellent quality instrument and very reassuring. (Retired doctor)

Kardiamobile and the Kardia App for Android
Kardia mobile 6-lead device is better than the single-lead version as it gives a clearer picture of the ECG trace for heart arrythmias. However, the associated Kardia app is not downloadable in Singapore to Android users and the device is useless without the App. The solution is to "sideload" the Kardia app via APK from a number of sites, eg. APKPure. After installing the app, everything works perfectly.

Great
Works perfectly, super easy to use. My doctor also liked it. I still haven't caught any episode, but it's very useful to have on hand if it happens.
