Good buy for the purpose we wanted it for!
The cord serves it's purpose. My husband wanted it so that we could watch movies from his cell phone on our TV. It works fantastic; you have to make sure your device is turned the long way, so the image will display full screen on the TV. Another thing to be mindful of is that it doesn't really charge while being connected as we thought it would, so just make sure your device has a decent charge prior to connecting it to the TV.

Works Great
Works perfectly with my Samsung Galaxy S5 and 2016 Vizio TV. All you have to do is plug the HDMI into the TV, the micro-USB into the phone, the USB-A connector into a power source (the USB port on my TV works), set the TV to the proper input and it starts working immediately. No software installation or settings on the phone necessary. It does 1920x1080 and sends the audio over HDMI to the TV too. There seems to be a bit of audio lag, but a player like VLC lets you adjust that manually. If I plug headphones into the phone, the audio goes to the phones instead of the TV. It charges the phone while hooked up. It serves as a live monitor for the phone's camera.Just be sure your phone and TV/monitor both support MHL (Mobile High-Definition Link). Some TV's support it on only one HDMI port. It may be labeled on the back of the TV. Look up your phone and TV on an MHL compatibility list Web site before ordering.

Great cable at a great price
Great cable at a great price. It did take a while to figure out how to get it to work with my tv. The hdmi had to be on that imput for a min with the cable hooked to the tv. Then the screen had to be lit up on the phone when it was plugged into the phone to make it work. I thought they were broke at first but once that was figured out they work awesome and they kids can watch whatever is showing on the phone on the tv now.

Not so good.
Cheap. worked for a few minutes and then not at all. As cheap as it was, it still wasn't worth the price.

Work great, used for streaming
We had recently purchased a projector and needed something to use our phones (Samsung galaxy S4 back then) to play netflix and other media to it.After doing some research we found that this cable matched our need in length and went for it, we are glad we did. It's pretty simple, if you have a phone compatible with MHL then you can use it to plug it to any device with a HDMI input.
