Yea! Good replacement for OEM on my RV
AHA! So that's how to convert a five output brakes/turn/taillight signal to the simple 4 way trailer system. This works perfectly! My motorhome has five wires going to a box that died. My trailer only has four wires (?)! What's up with that? Again, AHA! This converts the turn signals, amber on the motor home to flashing red signals on the trailer. Easy to wire, easy to attach. Who could ask for more?

Will work on motorcycles LED if you're patient.
Here's the thing, this is not meant for LED but i got it to work on my motorcycle. Everything needs to be connected like it's indicated on the module itself, (obviously you'd need an LED flasher to make the blinker work) In addition i had to wire a small bulb in parallel on the STOP light circuit (harness side) to add some resistance on that line. Everything works as it should.

Exactly What I Needed - Excellent Replacement
We have a 2001 Infiniti QX4 that has a hitch and trailer light socket. Our little Boston Whaler has been restored and the trailer was refitted with new LED lights. The lights tested perfect with a battery but one side would not light when braking. The turn signal on the same light worked so this was very puzzling. There was a box under the back end of the QX4 that converted the brake lights from the vehicle to use the signal lights in the trailer as brake lights. This was the only thing that could cause my problem of not lighting under braking one side. After an extensive search I found this item. There were lots of converters with cables and connectors which I did not need. This converter was exactly what I needed to fix my problem. The corroded old trailer lights must have blew something in the old converter. Replacing it totally made everything work!

Good replacement
I bought this used, but in new condition. Everything was fine, but whoever got it before me cut the wires way to short. Along with a lot of grumbling, I was somehow able to splice the wireโs together. The unit works fine, but I should have bought it new instead of used in new condition. Shame on me for trying to save a few bucks!!

Works as I should minus hazards
I made an offroad bumper for my Suzuki Samurai using trailer lights, unfortunately getting brake, tail and blinkers to work out of them requires a converter like this. It works great for that purpose, I took one star off because while all lights do work, for some reason hazard lights will not work yet blinkers will, not sure why that is. Overall I would recommend this for any application using trailer lights.

Defective
Product was defective out of the box. Trailer lights worked perfectly. However, this module caused both turn indicators on the vehicle to illuminate simultaneously when either was selected. it also caused both to illuminate with the stop lamps. Yes, it was installed the right direction.

cheapest alternative out there. compact little device , easy to mount anywhere
used this to do a Euro style front Signal conversion on a 2007 Vespa Lx150 (got rid of the signal pods on handlebars and switched the single filament bulbs to amber). This is by far the cheapest way to do a brake/turn conversion on your motorcycle (hoppy 48845 plus 2 resistors to prevent hyperflash is about $16). the module from Custom Dynamics is over $100 and does the same thing . i guess they charge more for splice-free installation. the hoppy is also very compact in case you're space constrained (as you often are on a motorcycle) . Note the measurements on amazon are wacky. the hoppy is actually about the size of an ipod mini (remember those?) I will certainly buy this little module again in the spring when my buddy demands this conversion on his yamaha Vstar.

Good item, but in my application
Good item, but in my application, I was needing it work in reverse - works for original intent. Can't swap power flow direction. At least I couldn't get it to function 100%. Partially, yes.
