Some of the negative reviews indicated that some had problems with the way the ear socks fit on their Oakleys. But, I found these to be easy to slide on (even over the nub) and, once on, provided a tight fit. Honestly, I can't tell the difference between these and my OEM ear socks. Highly recommend for the older Oakley Whispers.

Little tight going over knob at the end,, but once over that and put in place, it feels snug and secure. Now to see how long they last.

Several other vendors offer replacement earsocks for Oakley Whisker/Wiretap/Juliet/Big Square Wire 2.0/A-Wire. The other ones I have tried (AceFrog and Eye Opening Stuff) have holes that are too large, causing them to spin around on the wire temples, and are about 1mm too short, leaving a gap. They seem to be made with the same mold despite being different brands. The ones to avoid have convex text molded onto the two earsocks: "MADE IN U S A" on one, and "CE" on the other. The font and letter size are the same.These fit perfectly, and appear identical to the Oakley part number 06-485 earsocks which are no longer made.

I ourchased these for my Oakley Sway Bar glasses. They did not come with ear socks and were super slick and fell off easily. I trimmed off about 5mm from both ends with an exacto knife, soaked them in hot water that I heated in my microwave for 60 seconds, and the put them on.They fit very snuggly and required using a rubber gripper to help squeeze and slide them on. At one point I got stuck, and put the ear sock hanging 1/2 into water I had reheated to get them to soften up and was able to get them sliding again. Once installed, my glasses stay in place and seem comfortable. Time will tell on a day where I wear them all day. Currently I mainly wear them for driving.I have heard of people using soap as a lubricant, likely other stuff as well which might make installation easier.

I bought these for my Model OX3136 Oakley frames. I was not able to find any that were made to fit the OX3136 model, so I measured the square end holes on the original socks (1.5mm x 1.5mm) and chose these because they matched. These were about 1/2-inch too long so I cut them to size. I used a little Windex as lube for the installation and they slid on without tearing. I does not take much effort to move them out of position but that was true with the OEM version as well. These have an almost triangular cross-section as opposed to the round OEMs, but it does not seem to impact comfort. Time will tell how long they last, but the kit came with 5 pieces (one bonus?) so I can replace them if they tear. I am pleased that I can continue to use my glasses and it cost very little!

They definitely weren’t designed for them but they work. Super tight!!! Just remember to push not pull them on. Heating seemed to help like in the other review, warm water and let dry a bit. When wet they don’t budge.

They fit as good as genuine Oakley. Cannot tell the difference.
