Kidzlane CD Player Karaoke Machine with Anti-skip Protection

i posted a review that said: The player is sturdy. But the volume on the karaoke part is barely audible. The kids thought it wasn't working at all, but you have to turn the music down low and the karaoke volume all the way up and speak directly into the mic, and then you can barely hear your voice,the seller got in touch and sent me a new one that works, no charge, didn't have to return the old one! I was on the fence about this based on some of the negative reviews. Nevertheless, I purchased this for my 3 y/o daughter (she was 2 at the time). It looked fun and sturdy. Alas, I was disappointed in the product. I find that I have to hit the "play" button several times before the CD starts to play. Also, sometimes it will stop for no reason. For the price I paid (about $60), I could have just purchased an actual Karaoke machine or a different type of CD player.

This item looks fun, but microphones do not work well, and when I tried to plug into my iPhone to play music from it, the it only played at a very low volume compared to regular play. Unfortunately, I bought this item in advance for my daughter's birthday and once we realized it wasn't all they advertised, it was too late to return it. Oh, and I did not get this item at a reduced price like so many of the glowing reviews. Very disappointed and wish I hadn't bought it.

I bought this for my 2yo, she's been using it for two weeks now and it works well. She used pretty much anything she could find as s microphone so after a lot of research we chose this because of the nice features and we were hoping to find an equivalent of the fisher price cassette recorder of our childhood. This one seems to be sturdy enough and easy to use though my 2yo does need some help to put on cd's. We bought a mini usb and put songs and stories on it so she can listen to music without having to put in a cd. As it doesn't stick out of the recorder she hasn't noticed it's there.It is too heavy for little kids so it's difficult to carry around and it's nice to have 2 microphones but they're a little small and don't look at all like actual microphones, they're also difficult to put back on the sides. The sound of the microphones is just ok for a toy.All in all both my kids, 7 and 2 yo, like it and have had fun with it.

I bought this CD player on Amazon and gave it to my grandson for Christmas. Unfortunately it was defective. The CDs would spin really fast and not play. My husband fixes TVs and other electronic products for a living so he took it apart. He saw right away that the laser reader was not working among other things. So I had to return it. That same day I got an Email from the company who makes this product, Kidzlane, and they asked me how I liked it. I told them that it was defective and that I was sending it back. However, I found out that it was no longer available on Amazon. I told them that I was disappointed and that I really wanted to try another one because this CD player was exactly what my grandson wanted. I was quite surprised when I got an Email back telling me that they would send me another CD player for Free!! That was a really nice thing to do. Most of the time you don't even get a response back from these companies. Therefore, I am giving this first CD player only one star, but I am giving the company, Kidzlane, five stars. That averages to three stars. After I get my new CD player from the company, I will post a review.

My 2 and 3 year olds love this! I love how it has 2 microphones so they can use it together and not fight over it! It's so easy to use so they can use it by themselves. They are rough with it and the quality of it is great! Holds up with two very active boys!!

It seems complicated to switch between CD and USB. When saving music files onto USB, you must save in a certain format in order for the song to play. There is also a delay between songs and sequencing of songs doesn't make sense when using the USB. Using CD is straight forward.

Edit - i downgraded to one star. this item arrived defective. after i returned it, got a new one it worked great the first 3 times . on the 4th use, one of the microphones stopped working. this is really poor quality, stay away ..Original review:I bought it for my youngest bday, we received it super fast, but unfortunately it did not work ! it reset itself every few seconds/minutes. I used my amazon prime to replace it, the service (Amazon) was great, and the next device we got is working great, my kids just love it, and so far its working ..
