Perfect for spring cleaning your Macbook to make it run cool
My Macbook Pro (2012), still running perfectly well, would heat up with fans blaring just a few minutes after I would connect it to a monitor or if a website had videos or animations. Web searches led me to believe that this was because the Nvidia GPU would kick in, heating the laptop and the heat was not dissipating because of dust trapped in the fan and vents.I ordered this toolset from Amazon. The tools seem to be of good quality and the screwdrivers are magnetic making it easy to work with the tiny screws without losing them. I opened the back of my laptop to find that indeed there was a lot of dust trapped on the fans and the vents were practically clogged. Another web search showed a video on how to clean it using compressed air. Luckily I had a can of compressed air available. A few minutes later all the dust was gone. I have seen an incredible difference in the heat and fan levels since the cleanup.I would highly recommend spring cleaning your Macbook every few years. All I needed was one screwdriver in this toolset but well worth the investment. If you do decide to clean, then remember this important note. Not all screws on the bottom of the Macbook are the exact same length. In my case 2 of the 10 screws were about half a mm shorter than the others. This is not easily discernible unless you put them side by side and look closely. I assumed all were the same length until I put them back. I then had to trial and error my way into finding the right ones.

Dabble with fixing computers, changing batteries in phones, laptop upgrades? You need this kit!
OVERVIEW:With the wide variety of specialty fasteners used these days to keep people out of electronics, a kit like this is essential. It used to be, you could get away with a set of small Torx/security Torx drivers to crack open your electronics, but now, if you want to pop the back off of a MacBook Pro (for example), you will need specialty pentalobe (5 pointed star) drivers to open the case, torx drivers to remove the cooling fan for cleaning, and miniature phillips drivers to swap out the hard drive.Apparently there are other specialty shapes too like the Y-type. Save yourself some headache down the road and buy a set like this with a wide array of choices.PROS:- Great selection of tips and sizes of screwdrivers- Comfortable size and grip on drivers. Easy to apply appropriate pressure to prevent stripping tiny screws- Color coded to help ID types of drivers- Good selection of different sized nylon spungers. It is amazing how often you will change to a more ideal size and shape tool when you have a choice!- Tweezers are very sharp and pointed for grabbing/routing tiny things- Comes with a pliable plastic-y case to store the tools in. Helps keep things together in my electronics tool box- Drivers are slightly magnetized - sufficient for the size of screws in playCONS- It is a little tough to read the driver type on the individual drivers - older eyes like mine require more size and contrast!Summary:I am glad I bought this set. I should not get stuck on another electronics disassembly project in the foreseeable future.

If you have a Macbook Pro/Air/etc- get this!
I've had Macs - most of my life. Yes, they are harder to service yourself - but ONLY if you don't have the right tools. This kit is perfect, it comes in a nice roll-up case, it had all the drivers I needed plus it has some great pick ups, spudgers etc. that just come in handy. The size of the drivers are great, and they grip great. My old old ass Macbook Air (circa 2013) works great still, but it recently started shutting down unless plugged in. I replaced the battery a couple years ago, and coconut battery told me it was healthy. I was sure it was probably a loose connection, but I couldn't remember where my torx were to check it out. Either a small fix, or a time for a new laptop? I ordered this little kit, popped the back off and disconnected and reconnected the ribbon to the logicboard. Had a couple screws that I was sure were stripped the last time I opened my Macbook Air, but these driver heads grabbed them fine, no spinning or striping on the long and short screws. Turned it on with battery power only and voila! So instead of $1300 for a new laptop, $15 for this little kit (which I will always have use of anyway! Thinking of getting a couple more for holiday gifts for my friends who have Macs. Highly recommend this great little kit.

Great
The case is cool but not sure what material it is. The tools are cool looking but limited selection. Over all gets the job done but sometimes its missing what i need and i have to get my work toolkit out.

Good all around tool set, but could use a couple of smaller Torx drivers.
The somewhat domed end on the pentalobe driver doesn't help engagement; they should be flat.It would be nice if the driver was somewhat harder, IE 42 RC versus 38? It's easy to chew them up.

Good quality good price
I purchased these to swap an SSD from a dead MacBook Air to a used one for data recovery. The petalobe drivers are perfect fit and the carry pouch is good quality. Very happy with these.

You get what you paid for
I had to take apart a MacBook Pro, and bought this to do the job. It opened it up, but was missing a T4 that I needed to use. I bought a T4 at Home Depot, and should have bought all the tools there. This was good enough to open up some the laptop, but was rather weak material, and had trouble turning the screws that were tight. It's cheap and did the job, but I don't see it lasting much more than a few times opening up the laptop.

Good tools, but...
Excellent tools, 4 stars as identifying description on each is in very small white text on a silver back. Makes it hard to find the tool you are looking for.

Ideally should contain a T3,,,,
Shipping was prompt and tools are decent quality👍 The set could do with the inclusion of a T3! This is required for removing track pad on MacBook Pro 2018 when replacing battery.
