This is wonderful stuff if you have sensitive skin or a sensitive bottom. you can use it in the shower or you can put it on your skin and leave it for moisturizing . The size is good too. You don’t need a lot of this product so it last.

I recently had my first colonoscopy, and I had been warned that the prep was the worst part. Yeah, that was a total understatement. I am SO grateful to my mom, who told me to lay in a supply of this Balneol lotion to use when ... um ... tidying up after eliminating. I will admit, I was skeptical. Lotion? For my BUM?! Turns out, that's a very definite YES. If you've had a colonoscopy, you know that after you drink that concoction of vileness that they call the "prep drink," you're going to poop in much the same way that Vesuvius erupts. Trip after trip to the loo, right? Right. Oh, you thought you were done and could have a little lie-down to recover? Haha. NOPE! Why don't you just bring in War and Peace and sit here the rest of the day? So after a few trips to the throne room, your bum feels a bit sore. Even the softest toilet tissue feels like 80-grit sandpaper rasping all the skin off your most delicate bits. And you can't stop going to the loo, because that death-potion you had to drink is ripping through you like a wildfire through a summer-dry grassland. In fact, your bum feels like it might BE on fire. That's where this lotion stuff comes in. After gently patting the worst of the debris off your bum, you take a fresh piece of toilet roll and put a bit of this stuff on it. Use that to clean up the rest of you. The relief is instant, like a cup of ice-water after a mid-day hike through Death Valley in mid-August. And it does seem to make the cleanup more effective. I imagine people with chronic digestive issues would also find this useful, and I know that on days when my "girl thing" is happening, it's a relief to clean up using this product. But if you're slated for a colonoscopy, you should most definitely lay in a supply of this stuff. You're gonna need it!

This is a perfect product for those with sensitive skin or digestive issues. This should be in every cancer warriors tool kit. I put these in gift bags for my friends who are fighting cancer. The bottles are not large, so you will want a 3 pack. Its an expensive product but worth it. This is NOT hand lotion. It does not burn and it keeps you much fresher and cleaner than toilet paper alone.

This last order must’ve been the end of the run because all three bottles were watered down. They were too runny than other times I’ve had this product was very runny . It ran right across the tissue I had to take care not it to put a heavyweight puddle on the tissue or loose it. For the price I paid didn’t need that much water. Thank you Suzanne

I have bowel disease and had my entire large intestine removed, so bile salts leaving my body grind up my skin pretty bad until I’m dripping blood. (I have no colon to reabsorb them before they leave the rectum like acid). Just the touch of toilet paper is very painful. A little of this, and I can clean myself and sooth the irritated, burnt up skin to help it heal. The ingredients seem pretty basic, so I don’t know why it’s so expensive. But when you need this, it’s worth its weight in gold. Unbelievably effective. Couldn’t believe it. Great for hemorrhoids as well. Soothes (like putting out a fire), gives the area a chance to heal, and cleans the area for hygiene and to prevent infection. Highly recommend it. Other than the generic version with the same formula, I haven’t been able to find anything that comes close to working like this formulation does. Eases discomfort to suffering.
