My first impression was a product of low quality. The handle had two small cracks about two inches long ending at the connection. The wood threads were chipped and gnarly. And there were strange blue markings on the whole thing. I thought about returning it immediately. Anyway, it broke after using it for 20 minutes. The piece that screws in broke off and is stuck inside the head part. That was the weakest link. A complete waste of money since it's one day past the return period. There was no attempt to design a quality product here. The wooden handle is thin. Whatever is being used to make the threads just blasts away the wood. The wood sucks to begin with and should never have been used to make a mop. And why would you send something out with cracks on the most important part? By the way, if yours breaks then you have to pay for return shipping. The box it came in could have fit a folding table. It would not be worth returning unless you sawed the handle into sections. Make them really small for satisfaction.

I love this mopping method leaves my wood floor in such great shape. Material is very strong.

I go back to these mops every time as they just make sense. Inexpensive, basic and easy to use and I don’t throw anything out when done using, (like a Swifter). I often use old dish towels as my “mop” part. Can wash the floor, walls, bath, windows…whatever! Highly recommend.

This is a decent item for light mopping tasks, it is not overly sturdy or rigid and the towels will not stay in place. If you are going to get this, make sure you get the towels with the holes in the center. I had to tie the corners around the handle to keep the towel or cloth I was using in place. I am sure getting some clips to keep it in place would be useful. But I mop allot of floors and this does not have the strength needed for my application.

Originally very excited to find an item with such specific description. Couldn’t wait to try it out as these are the types of mops I grew up with. Overall, the mop is ok. A bit too clunky on the bottom side, perhaps a square finish would have been better than a circular finish to provide a better grip to the towel. A really thick towel is needed so that the wooden mop doesn’t scratch wooden floors.

I have wood floors and have not found a mop that does what I need it to do until this one. I have been mopping by hand to get the results I was looking for. I made some modifications to mine for the fact the towels I use are small and the wood on the mop is lacquered so I had a towel slippage issue. My whole house is wood flooring and the "microfiber" mops don't work and they are made so cheaply you can't really put any down pressure on them. This you can it's sturdy for scrubbing in those traffic areas and like I said I use small 15 x 12 towels the type you buy at hardware store they are cheap and you get 20 of them once they are dirty I use another one. I just soak the towels and use my washer to spin and drain and I have 20 plus mop heads ready to go to work instead of just using a dirty microfiber pad. I use Bona spray then mop. For the towel slippage issue I used some of that non slip stuff that you would use for under area rugs and 4 tie wraps now this mop works like a dream and if the towel should slip I don't have to worry about damage to my floor.

Well, you have read the description and seen the photo for yourself. It's not entirely wood product and has cheap assemble plastic ends. Misleading product and seller.
