How does the camera/lens perform in dusty places? Any suggestions when shooting in such environments?

Like any other camera dust is not good! This camera is not weather sealed. The Fuji XT-1 and XT-2 are weather sealed and would be better in a dusty environment. if you change lens a lot you might have a problem with dust. You might get a good used Xt-1 for the price of the XT-10.

Are the camera body and lens both us market and not grey/international market items? how can you guarantee this?

You'd have to ask the seller. It should be listed as international version or no manufacturer warranty if grey market.
