Nice easy to set up and use Hard Drive. Comes with great software for backups and can be password protected. Small and easy to store. I backup my family photos on one and CPU backups on another then put them in my safe. They have different colors for quick ID of which one you may use it for. A lot of storage for the price.

Had some bad luck with these somehow, but this drive is pure gold. Originally purchased a 1TB WD Drive (previous model) and the write speed was so slow on my 2018 MacBook Pro I ended up sending it back. Decided to upgrade to this newer 4TB version and the first version I received wouldn’t reformat. Replaced with the same item and it works beautifully. Fast, quiet, and works seamlessly on both my Mac and my wife’s PC. Stop wasting time with Seagate (after I’ve had 2 crap-out on me in the past 10 years, I’ll never use that brand again) and switch to WD already!

I like the size of the drive and it's speed works well. I could have purchased a solid state drive, instead of a hard disk drive, but solid state is much more costly, and I just can't justify the higher cost for the same functionality. Instead, I do backups at night while I'm resting.

My new backup drive. Seems to work well. I was too low on space on my 2t m2 drive so I loaded some games on this and play them from this drive. In my experience, some of the modern games require the ultra fast speed of an m2 drive. But many will play from this drive without noticable lag. Also, all my restore points are on this drive. It has not let me down yet.

This is exactly what I needed to be able to hold the files for my 3D printers, laser engraver and tabletop cnc machine. One laptop, 4 machines, the right amount of storage space to be able to unzip all my files (2.5TB) and still have room to get more.
