Gator Cases Lightweight Polyfoam Guitar Case for Electric Bass Guitars; (GL-BASS)

I like gator cases. This one is a good bass case. Fit my Schecter just fine. it has nice padding some ridgitiy on the outside and protects my stuff. I love this case. It's got some pockets and things. Most bases I've had I've used their cases to protect. The Schecter is a little short but it's been fine. It's got decent padding. I transport my heat in here in the car and Cary it around like it's an instrument so I'm not "bahgage handler rough" on them . My Dean was a little tight but after a week or two fit perfectly. Just needed some time to mold into it nice and snug. This is nice because it's a little lighter than the gator hard case and still great protection. Gator is awesome about customer service and questions form my experience as well. Good next support. Good bottom support where all the staps go. A little foam block for shorter bases would work if air traveling but it had nice padding and a snug secure fit. I've been happy with gator gear it's worth it. Keep it nice 👌 👍

UPDATE: I gave a short review of this 2 years ago, so here's the update: I still use this case on a regular bassis (pun unfortunately intended), it still looks great, no major issues. This easily fits J-basses and P-Basses with very little wiggle room, but for a 5-string J-bass close, I found that the case is a big snug (read: I wouldn't use the case on a regular basis with this particular style of bass since the body bulges the case), but it does fit my cheap Fernandez 5-string. Only two minor issues are that the mesh front pocket is worthless. I caught it on something when sliding it into the van, and it tore. No reason to have the mesh front pocket. Second, the velcro on the handstrap doesn't work very well. It's like they needed to make the flap a little longer, but even if it doesn't hold, it doesn't affect how I carry the bass. I've never used the shoulder strap, there were a couple of times I wished for backpack straps. Using a stencil, I painted my logo on the case with acrylic paints, and the material takes to the acrylics very well. Overall, I like this case a lot, and it tends to get used a lot because it's so light and it protects the bass. ----BEGIN ORIGINAL REVIEW---- I love this new wave of soft/hard cases. This is for a bass I built that has a larger than normal head on it, and there's plenty of room for the oversized head in this case. Comes with a shoulder strap but not backpack straps. Well put together and should last a good amount of time.

I got mine for storage as I don't go anywhere with my bass – yet! I've got very limited space. I don't even have enough space on my wall to hang my big Squire Classic Vibe Jazz bass, so I opted for an affordable bag that would also offer support. It turns out that I made the right decision! This bag/case is rigid like a case and soft and padded on the inside like a bag! With this, I can quickly put away my bass and stash it behind a door or under my bed to gain extra room in my tiny living space! Awsome! I only got this case for storage, so I can't speak from experience on "carry-ability", but from what I can surmise from observation is that this case is well constructed from quality materials. The handle is well placed and there are a couple of options for utilizing the provided shoulder strap. There is ample storage space inside for your extras (pedals, cables, etc.) and there is an outer pouch large enough for a iPad or a laptop! The empty case is not as heavy as a hardshell would be, but it is (probably) just as rigid. Oh and there are handy straps on the "lid" to limit it to opening 90 degrees – nice!

I picked this case out with only doing some light research on options. Overall I believe this is a good purchase. It's very lightweight for the size. I'll wait to see how sturdy it remains over some time. Looks like they got it lighter by cutting back on foam both on inside and possibly outside. I play a fender Jazz bass in a single venue so I really don't need a full blown road worthy case. If I did, I probably would go for something else that could take the beating. But if you got a cheap, thin gig bag and want something that is still light but gives more protection to your instrument and space for small items, this is a good starting to point as an upgrade.

Premium quality as typical of Gator cases. Fits all of my 4 and 5 string basses. Lightweight is a plus and very durable at the same time. No scents, arrived with desacants inside, Velcro handles, Strap, Zippers are high quality with fat, heavy duties zippers, Ample room inside its rectangular dimensions for straps Chords anything really. i highly recommend gator

Light weight but sturdy! Plenty of storage space, neck support, well padded. P-Bass fits like a glove. You could ALMOST use it as a flight case. Oh, did I say it was light weight? Great for carrying to and from a gig! It’s a soft case, not a flimsy gig bag!

El producto se siente de buena calidad, venía bien empacado y sin defectos, probandolo en mi bajo queda perfecto, me gustaría que tuviera tapa en los compartimentos internos del estuche, sin embargo lo demás está bien, los espacios, la ergonomía, peso y calidad. Parece un buen producto, el paso del tiempo lo dirá.

I needed a case for my bass guitar as I was heading on a band trip and this case was perfect! cheap lightweight and yet just as durable as any other hard case, only cons were that because of the shape and style of my guitar the cutout at the top of the frettboard does rub on the edge of the case a bit. still highly reccomend gator cases and look forward to using them in the future

I use this for my Jazz and P-bass to take to rehearsals. Both basses fit fine and there is plenty of room for a strap and a few accessories. Since I have not had it for very long, I don't know how durable it is, but so far, I love it.
