Great inexpensive noise gate.
I built a pedalboard and had a lot of feedback when using it, so I figured a noise gate would be the solution. This gets the job done. The pedal is inexpensive, and the small form factor leaves you more room on your board. It works as you'd expect - set your noise floor, turn it on, watch the noise level drop. Highly recommended.

EXCELLENT PEDAL
Work well with my bass. Cut all the noise and static that was being produced.

Works very well!
At first It was pretty good, until I switched from Soft to Hard (which refers to the intensity/speed of the decay of the note) and then it was spot-on!You need to dial in the Threshold setting. (For me: around -32db for one of my really noisy Ibanez's.)When testing it out, start from 0db and slowly dial it up to -10db, -20db, etc. , until you find the right noise suppression point.Otherwise, you may clip some lower-volumed nuances if you start from -70db and then go down to 60db, 50db, etc). After you find a good suppression db, flip the hard or soft switch (intensity/speed of the note decay) to see what you like best.Other than that, it's a set it an forget it pedal. Kewl!I was going to go for a more expensive gate which allows you to change the attack (input volume). It was $25 more, so I tried this knowing I could return it for the more expensive one. But I'm pleased with the results of this one, so I'll keep it.I give it a 4.5 out of 5!

You get what you pay for
This is probably the most useless pedal I own. It has its purpose, but it doesn't even do it very well. The hard setting is choppy and the soft setting is messy. Just buy an EQ pedal

Very nice and affordable noise gate.
A simple noise gate to clean up the noise floor of your instruments. Works well. It's quiet and sensitive so you can really dial in how much noise you need to remove from the outgoing signal.
User
Works well
Works pretty well at suppressing noise from a pedal chain.
User
Yes it does!
Yes it does dial in the exact point where your sound signal gets thru the noise gate, leaving you a clean, silent signal in between notes. What a bargain for such an attractive, effective, well built little pedal!
User
For the price it more than does the job.
I wouldn't call this a top of the line noise gate, but once you learn how to set it your excess noise levels will be reduced. I read a lot of people complaining about losing high end, I encountered that and found ways around that. 1. Use shorter better cables, the better quality cables also produce less noise. 2. Use the soft gate, it does help sustain your tone and keeps your high end intact more. 3. Use the hard gate of you're doing rhythm guitar, it will really clean up your sound. Is this a Boss NS2 or an ISP Decimator? No, but then again you pay far more for those products. This isn't as good, but it works for my purposes.
