Highly flexible and powerful player/budget computer
The media player worked well and was very responsive, the android OS works just like the phone/tablet version which means having the ability to surf the web using the mobile browser or reply to your fb/skype messages. Downloaded the regular suite of apps, Hulu/Netflix/Spotify/VUDU and they all worked just like on other Android devices. Compared to my existing Roku, apps like Spotify and Youtube are much easier to navigate on the Veolo with more flexibility.Navigation with the supplied remote is a bit limiting because of the android OS, I used this player like a computer, with a wireless keyboard/trackpad combo, it made navigation and looking for movies/songs/videos much easier compared to other players.I haven't tried playing games on this thing but that option is available with the selections from the Play Store.Pros:- Lots of apps out there on Android market with constant updates- If you look hard enough, there are apps that are great free alternatives to Netflix- Much more flexible than Roku/Apple TV- Full functional USB portsCons:- Navigation with standard remote might be slow but using a living room keyboard/mouse setup (K410) is a much better experience.- Jukebox interface could be improved + failed to load cover art

Not good
Bought 2 of these having used their PlayON HD before. Too late, cheap quality, inferior interface and purely an internet streamer with absolutely no network media playing capability. Support is horrible and the company (AC Ryan) seems to be dying a slow death with a suit of "also ran" products that are not up to the mark. The last good product from them was the PlayON HD which worked flawlessly as a network media player but could not handle 1080p files (up to 720p was fine). Then came the PlayON HD3 which claimed to play 3D files and full 1080p, Unit died within 2 weeks and no support to fix or replace.

... Veolo 4k - UHD Media Player AV output works fine but the HDMI output doesn't work at all
The AC Ryan Veolo 4k - UHD Media Player AV output works fine but the HDMI output doesn't work at all. This is very disappointing since I purchased this device because of the 4K pass through capability.

Horrible service
Forget any kind of service from A.C Ryan. I had two units and after updating them with the latest A C RYAN update they are now both bricks. After trying for months to get to in contact for some kind of repair... I gave up and Sent them to the Singapore service centre. They responded after a month with your units are to old we don't care and we wont help you, please buy a new one...NEVER BUYS FROM A C RYAN

Poor hardware and software specs.
While this product seems promising, it is relatively unstable and restarts when its made to Chromecast. In addition like all Android devices you'll need to remember to "End Task" or the different apps will just chew up resources. Most of the apps that comes pre installed are from China and in Chinese which you'll need to figure out. The so-called free movie streaming apps require subscription as well. They do not also except return. I personally would not recommend this.
