Luka's original concept was that of a bilingual VOCALOID and according to Crypton Future Media, Luka was originally going to be called "Hatsune Miku", prior to the change of concept plans for the Character Vocal series.

Very nice statue!
Well made and high quality figurine of Sega's 'Project Diva Arcade Future Tone' Twinkle Resort Megurine Luka (SPM) Super Premium bishoujo statue. Great sculpt, perfect paint apps, includes cool "beach" stand. It's a good size too, 8.2", which is a real bargain for the price. These size figures are the "Sega UFO Catcher" style, meaning they're the kind you can win in crane games at Japanese Arcades. Of course, it'd probably cost more than $20.00 to win one in a machine! If you're an anime fan you should dig this one!

Great Quality Figure
I really like this figure. It was great quality for the price. I was happily surprised with how big it was (about 8 inches in height.) There is a blue part of the base that is made to look like waves and looks very cool. I would recommend this figure to any Vocaloid fans!
