This one is a little bit smaller than my old one but works great. The cushion is comfortable. My primary use is when I need to use my walker to sit in like at doctors office, this fits in the seat and gets me on my feet very easily. I have a hard time rising from a normal chair or couch. This is easy to take with me. One complaint I have seen with these chair lift devices is that people try to rise up going forward and trust me, don’t. Try to lift straight up, not forward. Learned my lesson with my old one, didn’t like it at first and then trying to use my walker with this new one trying to fix a plumbing problem and leaned forward. Definitely moved me forward, not up. If adjusted to your weight, this can help lift 70% of your body weight so make sure to get the right one. I call this my ejector seat and well worth the cost. So tired of not being able to get back on my feet from sitting down but this gives me back some of my independence.

The website sends mixed messages about whether or not this product works on a recliner. My experience is that it does not. It is too wobbly to sit on. Also, my husband weighs 196 lbs. and while the description states it will work from 195 lbs. up, he cannot make it go flat when he sits on it. When I tried to return it, it says "This item isn't eligible for return." I always make all of my purchases from Amazon and have never seen this before. Very disappointed

I purchased this for my mother and was skeptical. It took me awhile to figure out how to adjust it. You have to close it to move the bar. I really like that it doesn’t require any power. Best of all, my mom loves it. It makes her more independent.

I think this is well made and a wonderful product, but you have to use it on the right kind of chair. It doesn't work that great on a soft chair, and the heighth of the product was a problem. With the carex seat under him, my husband could not put his feet flat on the floor, which is essential. It was also too narrow and would be very uncomfortable on a larger chair. Best used for a hard dining room or kitchen chair. On those, my husband doesn't need any help.

The seat was disappointing. In the pre-seated position it's very high and hard to get your tail up on it, then it takes a while to go down to the "use" position. It is not comfortable, in fact, seriously uncomfortable. It might have been better if six inches wider. The flexible plastic seat pan wobbles sideways, which is also very uncomfortable. It does give you a boost up out of the chair, which is good because it is so uncomfortable you just want to get up and go find another place to sit.

Wish I would’ve paid attention that this item is non-returnable. I should’ve listened to more of the reviews. Does not work as expected. Do not waste money on this product. Just invest in a lift chair.

We bought this to help my husband to be able to stand up easily, it was a great help while we were on vacation. You need to find the right adjustment and then it was perfect, I didn't have to help him up every time, he could stay up later and watch TV and be able to get up. Travel perfectly in the car. Would be big for flying.

I have a muscle disease and getting up from seats is painful and virtually impossible. I have a 3 compartment air cushion that’s great but this is so easy and useful. I love it! Works great and takes the stress of seating in restaurants, theatres, and friends homes no longer an issue!

Die Aufstehhilfe ist sehr gut und hilft mir sehr ! Im Prinzip sind alle gleich, egal von welchem Händler ! Diese hatte aber den Vorteil, daß eine deutsche Beschreibung beigepackt war ! Dies als Hinweis, da ich bereits zwei solche Hilfen habe ! Eine für zu Hause und eine für Unterweges ( auch bei meinem E - Rollstuhl benütze ich es !
